Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.2
GPA, above 6 of the 40 other automation tools we grade
Skyvia is a cloud data platform from Devart that moves and syncs data between cloud apps, databases and data warehouses without code. Its Data Integration product covers import, export, replication and synchronization, and a separate Automation product builds event-driven workflows from triggers, actions and logic components. Backup, Query and Connect are further products, and each one is subscribed to on its own, with a free plan and paid tiers.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Skyvia, taken from its own pages and our grades.
No rating on record, and plenty to work out first.
- 1
Best for loading app data into a database or warehouse
Every product is its own subscription, and after the trial Skyvia has to approve your Free plan.
- 2
Paid plans start at $79 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $79 / month, billed annually ($99 monthly), for Data Integration Basic.
- 3
There is a free plan
Each product has a free plan. Data Integration Free: 10,000 records a month, daily scheduling and 2 scheduled integrations. Automation Free: 1,000 tasks a month and 2 active automations.
- 4
It runs on Web
Web.
- 5
Import, export, replication and sync
Data Integration loads data between sources, replicates cloud apps into a database or warehouse and syncs records, with ETL, ELT and reverse ETL set up without code.
- 6
Data flows and control flows
For multi-step pipelines, a data flow blends and transforms data from several sources and a control flow sets the order of tasks and handles errors. Data flow needs Standard or above, and control flow needs Professional.
- 7
Automation workflows
A visual designer builds workflows that start from an event, a webhook or a schedule, with conditions, Foreach loops, Try Catch error handling, variables, a debugger and version history.
- 8
A 2.2 GPA, above 6 of 40
That is against the other automation tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace Skyvia you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for loading app data into a database or warehouse
Skyvia copies and syncs records between cloud apps, databases and warehouses without code, across more than 200 connectors, and a separate Automation product builds event-driven workflows. It's priced for businesses: Data Integration Basic is $79 a month billed annually and runs once a day at most. Every product is its own subscription, and after the trial Skyvia has to approve your Free plan.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | D | Data Integration Basic is $79 a month billed annually, $99 monthly, and even then it runs once a day at most. This category's dearest tenth starts at $49, so Skyvia's entry plan is already inside it. And Automation is another $99, with Backup, Query and Connect billed on their own again. |
| Free plan and trial | C | Every product has a free plan, but the caps come up fast: 10,000 records a month, 2 scheduled integrations, daily runs only, and schedules that stop working after 30 days. Automation Free is 1,000 tasks and 2 automations. After the trial, Skyvia has to approve your Free plan. |
| Features | B | It covers the category's job: import, export, replication and sync, data flows and control flows, and an Automation designer with conditions, loops, Try Catch, a debugger and version history. Plus 200-odd connectors, backups, SQL and API endpoints. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record, and plenty to work out first. Five products, each with its own plans, and your job may need two of them. Then connections to set up and mapping to do, even if none of it needs code. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web only, no phone or desktop app on the listing. It has 200-plus connectors for cloud apps, databases, file storage and warehouses, and Connect can publish your data as an OData, ODBC or MCP endpoint. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Skyvia is for
- Fits if you want SaaS data loaded into a database or warehouse on a schedule
- Works for analysts who want integration and SQL access without writing code
Who it is not for
- Pricey if you just want two apps connected, with Data Integration from $79 a month billed annually
- Skip it if you need hourly runs on the entry plan, since Free and Basic run once a day at most
- Not for you if you expect one subscription to cover everything, as each product is billed separately
- Tight if you're staying free: 10,000 records a month, 2 scheduled integrations, and schedules that expire after 30 days
- Watch out: when the trial ends, runs stop until you buy or Skyvia approves a Free plan, and overage needs Standard
Good to know
Good for
- Loading SaaS data into a database or data warehouse on a schedule
- Salesforce teams importing, exporting and backing up records
- Analysts who want integration and SQL access without writing code
Worth knowing
- Each product is priced separately: paying for Data Integration does not include paid Automation, Backup, Query or Connect.
- When the 14-day trial ends, runs stop until you buy a plan or request the Free plan, which Skyvia has to approve.
- Free and Basic schedule runs once a day at most; hourly runs need Standard and once-a-minute runs need Professional.
- Records beyond the monthly quota can be processed only on Standard and above, and the option has to be switched on in the account.

Part 04 · Standing
Where it stands
Its grades against its category, and whether to keep it or make your own
6/40
Other automation tools it is graded above
Skyvia's GPA of 2.2 is higher than 6 of the 40 other automation tools we grade, and level with 8.
It stands best on features (B, above 17 of 40) and worst on value for money (D, above 0).
Its paid plans start at $79 a month, against a middle price of $18.50 for the category: 28 of the 29 others that charge start lower.

Price against what you get
Each dot is one of 33 automation tools. Further left costs less; higher up scores better on features, ease of use and platforms. Skyvia is the marked dot.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Skyvia you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 26 of the 40 other automation tools grade higher. It costs $948 a year.
What you could make
- Templates: an app builder makes this well.
What you could not
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- A builder that other people can use without writing code.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Skyvia’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
