Value for money
CData Integration Basic is $79 a month billed annually, or $99 monthly, and it runs once a day at most. That's several times what this category usually starts at. Automation is sold separately, at $99 a month billed annually for 50k tasks. So are Backup, Query and Connect.
BStarter is $16 a month billed yearly ($192), or $20 monthly, for 2,000 records with unlimited updates. About what automation tools start at. But HubSpot and the other CRMs need Plus, from $32, and Salesforce needs Pro at $160. More records cost more too: 20,000 on Plus is $128.
Free plan and trial
BEach product has a free plan. Data Integration gets 10,000 records a month and 2 scheduled integrations, run daily, with schedules that expire after 30 days. Automation gets 1,000 tasks and 2 active automations. After the 14-day trial, Skyvia has to approve your Free plan.
CNo free plan. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial and no card is asked for, which is fair. When the week's up, syncing pauses until you pick a plan.
Features
AImport, export, replication and sync, with data flows and control flows for multi-step pipelines. The Automation designer has conditions, loops, error handling, a debugger and version history. Then there are 200+ connectors, backups, SQL queries and API endpoints.
BIt's sync only, and it does that fully: direction set field by field, linked records, rich text and images carried across, and an Issues page showing the exact error for any record that won't sync. Live Export, an API and an MCP server too. Which apps you can connect depends on your plan.
Ease of use
BIt's all set up in the browser without code, and connections are unlimited on every plan. But there are five products to choose between, each with its own plans. No rating on record, so a B.
BNo code. Pick two apps, map the tables and fields, choose a direction and switch it on. Nothing to think through in triggers and steps. There's no rating on record to go by, so a B.
Platforms and integrations
BA web app with 200+ connectors for cloud apps, databases, file storage and data warehouses. Connect can publish your data as an OData, ODBC or MCP endpoint. The listing shows no phone or desktop app.
BA web app that connects Airtable, Notion, Google Sheets, Webflow, Supabase, WordPress, HubSpot and Salesforce, with an API reference and an MCP server in the docs. The listing shows no phone or desktop app.

Who each one suits

Skyvia

  • Loading SaaS data into a database or data warehouse on a schedule
  • Salesforce teams importing, exporting and backing up records
  • Analysts who want integration and SQL access without writing code

Whalesync

  • Running a Webflow or WordPress site's content from Airtable or Notion
  • Operations teams bulk-editing CRM records from a spreadsheet
  • Teams that want records mirrored both ways, not trigger-based automations

Worth knowing

Skyvia

  • Each product is priced separately: paying for Data Integration does not include paid Automation, Backup, Query or Connect.
  • When the 14-day trial ends, runs stop until you buy a plan or request the Free plan, which Skyvia has to approve.
  • Free and Basic schedule runs once a day at most; hourly runs need Standard and once-a-minute runs need Professional.
  • Records beyond the monthly quota can be processed only on Standard and above, and the option has to be switched on in the account.

Whalesync

  • There is no free plan: when the 7-day trial ends, syncing pauses until a plan is chosen.
  • Starter stops at 2,000 records in sync. CRM connectors such as HubSpot need Plus, and Salesforce and Affinity need Pro.
  • Yearly plans are paid up front and cannot be downgraded or switched to monthly billing until the year is over.
  • More than 20,000 records in sync means booking a demo instead of buying online.

Key features

Skyvia

Import, export, replication and sync
Data Integration loads data between sources, replicates cloud apps into a database or warehouse and syncs records, with ETL, ELT and reverse ETL set up without code.
Data flows and control flows
For multi-step pipelines, a data flow blends and transforms data from several sources and a control flow sets the order of tasks and handles errors. Data flow needs Standard or above, and control flow needs Professional.
Automation workflows
A visual designer builds workflows that start from an event, a webhook or a schedule, with conditions, Foreach loops, Try Catch error handling, variables, a debugger and version history.
More than 200 connectors
Connectors cover cloud apps such as Salesforce, HubSpot and Shopify, databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server, file storage and data warehouses. Connections are unlimited on every plan.
Backup and Query
Backup takes automatic daily or manual snapshots of cloud app data with search and one-click restore. Query runs SQL or a visual query builder against cloud data from the browser.
Connect endpoints
Connect publishes data from a source as a web API endpoint over OData, ADO.NET or ODBC, or as an MCP endpoint that AI tools can query, without copying the data.

Whalesync

Two-way sync
A sync connects two apps. You map tables and fields, choose a direction for each, and turn it on; changes on either side are then written to the other as they happen.
Records-in-sync pricing
A record counts once when it first syncs, and is not counted again for the second app. Updates to synced records are unlimited, as are mappings and active syncs.
Linked records, rich text and images
Syncs carry multi-reference fields, rich text and images, which lets a spreadsheet act as the content source for a site built in Webflow, Framer or WordPress.
Issues and operation logs
Records that cannot sync appear on an Issues page with the exact error from the destination app, while the rest keep syncing. Email alerts and operation logs are included.
Live Export
A read-only copy of data from tools such as HubSpot, Shopify, Stripe, Linear and QuickBooks, kept up to date in Airtable, Google Sheets, Notion or Supabase. Included on every plan.
API and MCP server
The documentation covers an API reference and an MCP server, so syncs can be managed from code or from an AI agent as well as the web app.
