Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
1.8
GPA, above 0 of the 123 other to-do list apps we grade
Splitti is an AI-assisted task manager for iPhone, iPad and Android, presented in the app stores as a planner for people with ADHD or a habit of procrastinating. A goal is typed in and the AI breaks it into smaller steps, which are sorted into an Eisenhower matrix and worked through with a Pomodoro timer. The free Starter plan limits AI use to 20 interactions a week; the Plus and Pro subscriptions raise that limit and add more meditation practices and focus sounds.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Splitti, taken from its own pages and our grades.
The vendor's own site says it's still being refined.
- 1

The report card
Best for breaking a big goal into small steps with AI
Splitti is a phone app that uses AI to cut a goal into small steps, sorts them into an Eisenhower matrix and adds a Pomodoro timer. The AI is rationed on every plan, 20 interactions a week free and 150 even on Pro at $14.99 a month, Plus costs $9.99 where to-do apps here run about $3.99, and there's no web or desktop version. The vendor's own site says it's still being refined.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | D | Plus is $9.99 a month and Pro $14.99, in a category whose middle paid plan is $3.99 and whose dearest tenth only starts at $8.99. Paying yearly brings Plus to $78.99, still above the top of the range. And what the extra money buys is a bigger weekly ration of AI. |
| Free plan and trial | C | Starter costs nothing and includes the AI breakdown, the chat, the Pomodoro timer and the matrix. But it's rationed to 20 AI interactions and 5 ultra smart decompositions a week, with 1 meditation and 1 focus sound. You'll hit that in a busy week. |
| Features | C | It does a smaller job than a to-do app, and does it: AI that splits a goal into steps, a matrix that sorts them, a timer, a chat and a focus tracker. The listing shows the gaps too. Every plan rations the AI, and there are no integrations at all. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record to go by. You type a goal and the AI does the breaking down, but it wants a personal profile first to tailor the steps, and the vendor's own site carries a notice that the app is still being refined. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | iPhone, iPad and Android, and that's the lot. The site links to no web or desktop version, and the listing shows no integrations, so there's nothing to connect it to. If you plan at a desk, your steps stay on your phone. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Splitti is for
- Fits if big goals freeze you and you want the first small step written out for you
- Works for people who want a task list, a Pomodoro timer and a priority matrix in one phone app
Who it is not for
- Pricey if you lean on the AI, at $9.99 a month for 100 interactions a week, or $14.99 for 150
- Tight if you're staying free, with 20 AI interactions a week, 1 meditation and 1 focus sound
- Skip it if you plan on a laptop, as there's no web or desktop version and no integrations
- Watch out: the App Store lists Pro yearly at both $117.99 and $59.99 without explaining either
- Watch out: the vendor's site says the app is still being refined, and shows monthly prices only
Good to know
Good for
- People who stall on large goals and want them cut into steps
- Combining a task list with a Pomodoro timer and a priority matrix
- Users who want an AI chat for advice on individual tasks
Worth knowing
- AI use is capped on every plan: 20 interactions a week on Starter, 100 on Plus and 150 on Pro.
- It is available for iPhone, iPad and Android only; the site links to no web or desktop version.
- The vendor's site carries a notice that it is being refined and shows monthly prices only; the yearly prices here are from the US App Store.
- The App Store lists two Pro Plan Annually purchases, at $117.99 and $59.99, so the yearly Pro price offered in the app may differ.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Your call
A to-do list at its plainest is tasks with dates, repeats and a box to tick.
You could make the core of Splitti for yourself: tasks and Pomodoro timer. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. It costs $78.99 a year.
What you could make
- Tasks and Pomodoro timer: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- A library of sound you would have to license.
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
What this rests on. Splitti’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
