How we grade them

3.0GPABlitzitVery good2.6GPASplittiGood
Value for money
B$4.99 a month billed yearly ($59.88), or $6.99 month to month. That's a touch above the $3.99 a typical to-do app charges. Every feature and unlimited lists are in either plan, so there's no upsell.
CPlus is $9.99 a month, or $78.99 a year, when paid to-do apps typically start around $3.99. What that buys is 100 AI interactions a week in place of 20, plus two more meditations and focus sounds. Pro is $14.99 and still stops at 150. Dear for what you get.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan. You download it and get 7 days, then buy a plan inside the app. A week is short for finding out whether timing your tasks sticks as a habit.
BStarter is free and has the real thing: the AI breakdown, the chat, the Pomodoro timer and the Eisenhower matrix. But it's capped at 20 AI interactions and 5 ultra smart decompositions a week, with 1 meditation and 1 focus sound. Enough to see if it clicks.
Features
BTime estimates, a live timer per task, Pomodoro sprints, repeating tasks and reports on where the hours went. But the Blitzy assistant and Sessions Tracking are labelled beta, and PDF export of reports is marked coming soon.
BIt does one job, getting you unstuck, and covers it well: AI that splits a goal into steps, a matrix that sorts them by urgency, a Pomodoro timer, a chat for advice and a tracker for focus time. But every plan caps the AI, and the listing shows no integrations.
Ease of use
BNo App Store rating is on record, so a B is as high as we go. The loop is simple: fill the Today column, press Blitz. One snag: moving from version 2.x to 3.0 means migrating your lists, and changes don't sync back.
BType in a goal and the AI does the breaking down, so there's little to set up beyond a personal profile. It's an app you install and use. There's no rating on record to go by, so it stops at a B.
Platforms and integrations
AMac, Windows, iPhone and Android, with hooks into Google Calendar, Notion, ClickUp, Asana, Raycast and Zapier, and an MCP server for ChatGPT and Claude. Linux and web only exist in the 3.0 beta.
CiPhone, iPad and Android, and that's the lot. The site links to no web or desktop version, and the listing shows no integrations. If you plan at a desk, your steps stay on your phone.

Who each one suits

Blitzit

  • People who want a timer running against each task on their list
  • Freelancers and students tracking how long tasks really take
  • Mac and Windows users who like an always-visible floating timer

Splitti

  • People who stall on large goals and want them cut into steps
  • Combining a task list with a Pomodoro timer and a priority matrix
  • Users who want an AI chat for advice on individual tasks

Worth knowing

Blitzit

  • There is no free plan: after the 7-day trial a Monthly or Annual plan is required.
  • The stable desktop app is for macOS 12.3 or later and Windows 10 and 11. Linux and web versions exist only in the 3.0 beta.
  • Blitzit 3.0 uses a new database, so lists and tasks from version 2.x have to be migrated, and changes do not sync back.
  • The Blitzy assistant and Sessions Tracking are labeled beta, and PDF export of reports is marked coming soon.

Splitti

  • AI use is capped on every plan: 20 interactions a week on Starter, 100 on Plus and 150 on Pro.
  • It is available for iPhone, iPad and Android only; the site links to no web or desktop version.
  • The vendor's site carries a notice that it is being refined and shows monthly prices only; the yearly prices here are from the US App Store.
  • The App Store lists two Pro Plan Annually purchases, at $117.99 and $59.99, so the yearly Pro price offered in the app may differ.

Key features

Blitzit

Blitz mode and floating timer
Blitz mode starts a focus session on the Today column: the top task gets a live timer while the rest wait below, and the list can collapse into a floating countdown.
Time estimates and tracking
Each task takes an estimate of how long it should take, and the app records done time and overtime so the two can be compared.
Pomodoro timer
A Pomodoro mode splits work into sprints and breaks of fixed lengths that you set, such as 60 minutes of work and a 15-minute break.
Scheduling and recurring tasks
Tasks can be scheduled once or on a repeating basis, with alerts when a scheduled task comes due and a choice to do it now or later.
Reports
Productivity, time-spent and sessions reports show where time went by list and how closely time estimates matched what tasks actually took.
Blitzy AI assistant and MCP
Blitzy, labeled beta, turns typed or spoken thoughts into tasks, notes, subtasks and schedules. An MCP server lets ChatGPT and Claude create and find tasks.

Splitti

AI task breakdown
A goal entered in the app is split by the AI into smaller, actionable steps, and a personal profile lets it tailor the steps and advice to the user.
Eisenhower matrix
Tasks are placed automatically in an Eisenhower matrix of urgency and importance, sorted according to the user's profile.
Pomodoro timer
A built-in Pomodoro timer runs focus sessions and is accompanied by AI-generated productivity tips.
AI chat
An AI chat discusses individual tasks, answers questions and offers advice and motivation. Every plan caps the number of AI interactions per week.
Productivity tracking
A progress tracker shows time spent in focus and the number of tasks completed by day and by month.
Meditation and focus sounds
Meditation practices and sounds for concentration are built in: one of each on Starter, three on Plus and unlimited on Pro.
