What is Priority Matrix?

Priority Matrix, from Appfluence, organizes tasks and projects around the four quadrants of the Eisenhower method so that a team can see which work is urgent and which is important. Items carry owners, due dates, progress, files and a chat history, and add-ins bring the tool into Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Paid plans are priced per user, and a free tier covers small teams within fixed project and item limits.

Priority Matrix has a free plan. Paid plans start at $12 per user / month, billed annually ($15 billed monthly). See every plan

Good for

  • Teams that prioritize with the Eisenhower urgent-important method
  • Organizations that work mainly in Outlook and Microsoft Teams
  • Managers who want reports per teammate and one-on-one views
  • Groups of up to 5 that fit inside the free tier

Worth knowing

  • The free tier stops at 5 projects, 100 open items and 5 teammates, and has no Gantt chart or reports.
  • PM Collaborate and Business Class require at least 5 users, and Pro is limited to 100 projects and 25 seats.
  • Gantt charts, advanced reports and restricted projects are not part of the Pro plan.
  • API developer access and multi-factor authentication are listed only under Enterprise.

Key features

Four-quadrant projects
Each project is a matrix of four quadrants based on the Eisenhower method, used to separate urgent work from important work and to hold ideas until they are ready.
Item details and files
Items carry icons, notes, dates, progress, effort estimates and attached files, and can be sorted, tagged, filtered and searched.
Assignments, followers and chat
A task is assigned to one owner and can have several followers. An in-app chat and history stream record the conversation and progress for each item or project.
Reports and Gantt charts
Daily, weekly or custom-period reports show status by project or by teammate. Advanced reports and Gantt charts start at the PM Collaborate plan.
Outlook and Microsoft Teams add-ins
The Outlook add-in turns emails into tasks with due dates and reminders. The Teams app manages projects inside Teams and sends reminders through a chatbot.
Native apps with offline use
Apps for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android keep local storage and caches so work continues offline, alongside a web app and browser extensions.
