Do.List report card
Very good · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 9, 2026
Best for sorting tasks into Today, Tomorrow and Later
Do.List swaps due dates for three lists: Today, Tomorrow and Later. Everything that isn't urgent, from groceries to books you mean to read, goes into ready-made Life Lists. It's free, with no ads and no account. But it only runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and if you like pinning tasks to a date and time, the design is against you.
Who Do.List is for
- Great if you sort tasks by day and never set due dates anyway
- Handy when you want grocery, packing and reading lists next to your to-dos
- Good for iPhone users after a free to-do app with no ads
Who Do.List is not for
- Skip it if you use Android or a computer, as it's iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch only
- Not for you if you schedule tasks to a date and time, since only one list takes due dates
- Too light for projects, as it's three priority lists and a set of simple Life Lists
Why Do.List gets a 3.2
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- AValue for moneyIt's free, and the App Store lists no in-app purchases. There's no paid plan, so there's nothing to weigh up.
- AFree plan and trialThe complete app is free: the three main lists, Life Lists, reminders, iCloud sync and backup. No ads, no account and nothing kept back for later.
- BFeaturesToday, Tomorrow and Later lists you reorder by dragging, more than 30 ready-made Life Lists, and a grocery list you can sort by store or section. Solid for a personal list. But due dates live in one dedicated list by design, so tasks in the main three can't be set to a date and time.
- AEase of use4.7 from about 2,500 App Store ratings. There's no account to make, it always opens on Today, and a task only has three places to go.
- DPlatforms and integrationsiPhone, iPad and Apple Watch only, which is one operating system. The FAQ says there's no Android version yet, and no web or Windows version is offered. The FAQ also still says several devices aren't supported, though the App Store listing describes iCloud sync.

Good for
- People who prioritize by day instead of setting due dates
- Keeping grocery, packing and reading lists beside to-dos
- iPhone users who want a free to-do app without ads
Worth knowing
- It runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch only; the vendor's FAQ says there is no Android version yet.
- Due dates are confined to one list by design, so tasks in Today, Tomorrow and Later cannot be scheduled to a date and time.
- The App Store marks it as designed for iPad and not verified for macOS, and no web or Windows version is offered.
- The vendor's FAQ still says use on multiple devices is not supported, while the App Store listing describes iPhone and iPad syncing through iCloud.
Key features
- Today, Tomorrow and Later lists
- Tasks are prioritized into three lists in place of dated deadlines, reordered by drag and drop, and the app always opens on Today.
- Life Lists
- More than 30 ready-made lists hold non-urgent items such as groceries, gift ideas, trip packing, movies to see and bucket lists, and custom lists can be added.
- List types that behave differently
- Grocery and packing lists are checked off, books and movies can be marked as favorites that rise to the top, and the Daily list resets so its tasks can be repeated.
- Grocery list with stores and sections
- Grocery items can be given a store and a section, and the list can then be sorted by either one.
- Reminders for dated tasks
- A task that does need a due date goes into a dedicated list that sorts by date and sends a reminder; the other lists stay free of dates.
- iCloud sync, backup and Apple Watch
- Data is saved on the device, synced between iPhone and iPad through iCloud and backed up from Settings. The Apple Watch app shows the lists and completes tasks.
