Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.0

GPA, above 0 of the 19 other social media schedulers we grade

Taplio is a tool for writing, scheduling and promoting LinkedIn posts from a personal profile or company page. Besides a posting queue it has a library of millions of past LinkedIn posts for ideas, AI writing and carousel tools, feeds for commenting and, on the top plan, a lead database with automated outreach. It covers LinkedIn only; its maker, lempire, sells Tweet Hunter for X.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Taplio, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for building a personal brand on LinkedIn

But each seat covers one LinkedIn account, so a team pays per person for a single channel.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $32 a month for each person

As its pricing page puts it: $32 per seat / month, billed annually ($39 billed monthly).

  3. 3

    You can try it first

7-day free trial with full Pro access, then a 30-day money-back guarantee

  4. 4

    It runs on Web

Web, with a browser extension too.

  5. 5

    LinkedIn scheduling queue

Set your own posting slots and add posts to a queue, with a calendar, drafts in a Kanban view, polls, mentions and text formatting.

  6. 6

    Viral post library

Search a database of more than 5 million LinkedIn posts for ideas, save them in collections and rework them as your own drafts.

  7. 7

    AI writing and carousels

From Growth, AI drafts posts, hooks and images, builds carousels and repurposes articles and YouTube videos. Growth has 250 AI credits a month; Pro is unlimited.

  8. 8

    A 2.0 GPA, above 0 of 19

That is against the other social media schedulers we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  9. 9

The report card

Best for building a personal brand on LinkedIn

Taplio is LinkedIn and only LinkedIn: a posting queue, a library of millions of past posts for ideas, AI writing and carousels from Growth, and a lead database on Pro. It's thorough for that one network. But each seat covers one LinkedIn account, so a team pays per person for a single channel.

ToolGPA report cardTaplioGraded Oct 17, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyDOne network, so we set it against its listed alternatives. Two people on Growth, where AI and team features start, pay $98 a month billed yearly ($49 a seat), less 10% for 2 seats. Buffer covers five networks for a team at $50, and Hypefury posts to LinkedIn and four more for about $17.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan, but a 7-day trial with full Pro access, then a 30-day money-back guarantee. The guarantee isn't a trial, so it's the week that earns the grade.
FeaturesCScheduling, a library of 5 million posts for ideas, AI posts and carousels, engagement feeds, analytics, and lead outreach on Pro. It does the LinkedIn job fully, but that's a smaller job, and Starter has no AI or engagement tools at all.
Ease of useCThere's no App Store rating on record for us to go by, and its Connect extension has to stay in a desktop Chromium browser logged into LinkedIn, or scheduled posts fail.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb and a browser extension, with lemlist, Zapier, Tweet Hunter, Claude, ChatGPT and an API. No phone or desktop app is listed, so web with integrations is where it tops out.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.0

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Taplio is for

  • Great if LinkedIn is where you find clients and you post there most days
  • Good for ghostwriters running several LinkedIn accounts
  • Handy when your posts are meant to turn into sales leads

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you post anywhere but LinkedIn, as it covers nothing else
  • Pricey if several of you post, since every seat is one LinkedIn account
  • Not for you if you don't use Chrome or a similar browser on a computer, which its extension needs

Good to know

Good for

  • Founders and consultants building a personal brand on LinkedIn
  • Ghostwriters and agencies running several LinkedIn accounts
  • People who use LinkedIn posts to find sales leads

Worth knowing

  • Publishes to LinkedIn only; posting to X needs Tweet Hunter, a separate subscription from the same company.
  • Its Connect extension must stay in a desktop Chromium browser logged into LinkedIn, or scheduled posts fail.
  • Starter has no AI writing or engagement tools; those start at Growth, $49 a month billed yearly.
  • Each seat covers one LinkedIn account, and the help center says there are no student or nonprofit discounts.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Your call

You could make the core of Taplio for yourself: calendar and reports.

What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. It costs $384 a year.

What you could make

  • Calendar and reports: an app builder makes these well.
  • It runs in a browser, which is where something home-made would run too.

What you could not

  • It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
  • It plugs into other products, LinkedIn, lemlist and Zapier among them, and has an API.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.

What this rests on. Taplio’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
