Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.6
GPA, above 30 of the 74 other calendar and scheduling apps we grade
Timepage is a calendar app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch from Bonobo. It shows events from the calendar accounts already on the device in a scrolling timeline, a month heatmap and day, week and month views, with weather forecasts and travel time estimates alongside. It is sold as a membership through the App Store, either on its own or as part of the Bonobo Bundle with the Actions and Flow apps.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Timepage, taken from its own pages and our grades.
It uses the calendar accounts already on your device, so there's nothing to connect, and in the week view you tap and drag to make an event.

The report card
Best for one calendar app across iPhone, iPad and Mac
Timepage is a calendar app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, with a scrolling timeline, a month heatmap of busy days, and weather and travel time beside your events. It's $19.99 a year. But there's no free plan, it only shows calendars already on your device, there's no sharing, tasks need the separate Actions app, and when a membership lapses the app goes read-only.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | $19.99 a year, which is $1.67 a month against about $6 for a typical calendar tool, or $3.99 if you pay monthly. One membership covers iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and the Bundle with Actions and Flow is $29.99 a year. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan. You get a 7-day trial with all features and no credit card, which is the shortest we'd still call a trial. After that it's a membership, and if it lapses the app turns read-only and loses its weather features. |
| Features | C | A scrolling timeline, a month heatmap, week, day and month views, weather forecasts, travel time estimates and 60 colour themes. The gaps are plain in the listing: it shows the calendar accounts already on your device rather than keeping any of its own, there's no sharing, and tasks come from the separate Actions app. |
| Ease of use | B | 4.62 from about 15,000 App Store ratings, short of our bar for an A. It uses the calendar accounts already on your device, so there's nothing to connect, and in the week view you tap and drag to make an event. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, working with the iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange, Yahoo and CalDAV calendars on the device. All Apple, though: no Android, Windows or web version is listed, and there's no API. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Timepage is for
- Fits if you only use Apple devices and want one calendar across all of them
- Works for people who want the weather and the travel time next to the day's events
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you use Android or Windows, as it's Apple platforms only
- Not for you if you won't subscribe, since after the 7-day trial the app goes read-only without a membership
- Tight if you want tasks in your calendar, because they come from the separate Actions app or the $29.99 Bundle
- Too light for sharing a calendar, as Timepage has no sharing and keeps no accounts of its own
- Watch out: prices are set per country, so the US App Store figures here won't match every region
Good to know
Good for
- People who use only Apple devices and want a calendar across all of them
- Seeing weather and travel time next to the day's events
- Households sharing one Family Bundle of calendar, to-do and notebook apps
Worth knowing
- Apple platforms only: iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. No Android, Windows or web version is listed.
- A membership is required after the 7-day trial; once it lapses the app stays readable but becomes read-only and loses weather features.
- Bonobo sets prices per country by purchasing power parity, so the US App Store prices shown here differ in other regions.
- Tasks come from the separate Actions app, which needs its own membership or the Bundle.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
The plain part of Timepage you could make: calendar and natural-language input. What surrounds it you could not. The 3 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.
It costs $19.99 a year.
What you could make
- Calendar and natural-language input: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- Apps for macOS and iOS that stay in step with each other.
- It plugs into other products, iCloud, Google Calendar and Outlook among them.
- Hooks into the device itself: an Apple Watch app and widgets.
What this rests on. Timepage’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
