Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.2

GPA, above 8 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade

Week Plan is a weekly planner that ties tasks to longer-term goals. Planning starts from a vision and a set of life roles, moves through goals and OKRs, and ends with a week of tasks in which the most valuable ones are flagged as High Impact Tasks. The vendor bases the method on the Eisenhower Matrix, OKRs and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. A free Lite plan covers basic planning, and the paid Ultimate plan adds the rest.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Week Plan, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for planning your week from roles and goals

Week Plan is for planning from the top down: a vision, your roles, your goals, then this week's tasks, with the ones that matter most flagged, built on the 7 Habits and OKRs.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $8.67 a month

As its pricing page puts it: $8.67 per month, billed annually.

  3. 3

    There is a free plan

Lite plan, free forever: create tasks, schedule the week, plan by role and mark High Impact Tasks. OKRs, integrations and team tools are in the paid plan.

  4. 4

    It runs on 4 platforms

    Web, Windows, iOS and Android.

  5. 5

    Vision and roles

Planning starts with a long-term vision or mission statement and a set of roles, so tasks can be created for or assigned to each role.

  6. 6

    Goals and OKRs

Objectives and key results are defined in the app and tasks are linked to them, so the week's work can be checked against longer-term goals. Ultimate only.

  7. 7

    High Impact Tasks

The tasks that contribute most to a goal are marked as High Impact Tasks (HITs) and highlighted in the weekly plan. Included in the free Lite plan.

  8. 8

    A 2.2 GPA, above 8 of 69

That is against the other daily planner apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  9. 9

    Keep it

The plain part of Week Plan you could make: tasks, goals, time blocking, calendar, Pomodoro timer, time tracking and daily notes. What surrounds it you could not. The 1 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

The report card

Best for planning your week from roles and goals

Week Plan is for planning from the top down: a vision, your roles, your goals, then this week's tasks, with the ones that matter most flagged, built on the 7 Habits and OKRs. But calendar sync, repeating tasks and OKRs need Ultimate at $8.67 a month, the page won't say if that's per user, nothing works offline, and there's no Mac app.

ToolGPA report cardWeek PlanGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCUltimate is $8.67 a month billed annually, or $10.83 month to month, the dear end of a category whose middle is about $6. The pricing page won't say whether that is per user, and the US App Store shows $9.99 and $103.99 instead.
Free plan and trialCLite is free forever and you can create tasks, plan the week by role and flag your High Impact Tasks. Then it stops: calendar sync, repeating tasks, the Eisenhower Matrix and OKRs are all Ultimate.
FeaturesCVision and roles, OKRs with tasks linked to them, High Impact Tasks, an Eisenhower Matrix, time blocking on a calendar and a Pomodoro timer that logs the time for you. The gap is in its own FAQ: there's no offline mode at all, so no planning on a plane, and most of that list is Ultimate only.
Ease of useC4.3 from about 370 App Store ratings. There's homework before you get anywhere, too: the method starts with a vision statement and a set of life roles, and only then do you write any tasks.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, Windows, iPhone and Android, so Mac and Linux people live in the browser. Google Calendar, Outlook and Zapier are the only connections, and they arrive with Ultimate rather than the free plan.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.2

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Week Plan is for

  • Fits if you plan your week from roles and goals, not from a loose to-do list
  • Works for small teams who want shared workspaces with OKRs

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you plan on planes or patchy wifi, as Week Plan needs an internet connection
  • Tight if you're staying free, because calendar sync, repeating tasks and the Eisenhower Matrix are Ultimate only
  • Not for you if you want a native Mac or Linux app, since those users get the web version
  • Watch out: the pricing page doesn't say if Ultimate is per user, and the App Store shows $9.99 and $103.99 instead
  • Watch out: the trial is 7 days by the App Store, extendable to 26, and the website states no length

Good to know

Good for

  • People who plan by the week from roles and goals
  • Followers of the 7 Habits approach to prioritizing
  • Small teams that want shared workspaces with OKRs

Worth knowing

  • OKRs, calendar sync, recurring tasks, the Eisenhower Matrix, custom boards and team tools are listed only under the paid Ultimate plan.
  • There is no offline mode: the FAQ says Week Plan needs an internet connection.
  • Apps are listed for Windows, iOS and Android. Mac and Linux users work in the web app.
  • The pricing page does not say whether the Ultimate price is per user, and the US App Store lists in-app prices of $9.99 and $103.99.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

The plain part of Week Plan you could make: tasks, goals, time blocking, calendar, Pomodoro timer, time tracking and daily notes. What surrounds it you could not. The 1 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 53 of the 69 other daily planner apps grade higher. It costs $104.04 a year.

What you could make

  • Tasks, goals, time blocking, calendar, Pomodoro timer, time tracking and daily notes: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • Apps for Windows, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.

What this rests on. Week Plan’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
