Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.2

GPA, above 8 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade

Amie combines AI meeting notes with a calendar and todo list. It records calls without a bot joining, writes summaries and action items, and keeps them next to a calendar where todos can be dragged in as time blocks. An AI chat drafts emails and schedules tasks, and an MCP server gives Claude or ChatGPT access to notes, calendar, emails and todos.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Amie, taken from its own pages and our grades.

It records your calls without a bot joining, writes up the action items, and lets you drag them onto your calendar as time blocks.

The report card

Best for meeting notes, calendar and todos in one app

Amie is a calendar and todo list with an AI note-taker built in. It records your calls without a bot joining, writes up the action items, and lets you drag them onto your calendar as time blocks. It starts at $20 a user a month billed yearly, CRM links need $40, there's no Android or web app, the free tier its pages mention isn't on the pricing page, and its terms offer no refunds.

ToolGPA report cardAmieGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyDPro is $20 a user a month billed annually, or $25 month to month, when the middle for a planner here is $5.99 and the dearest tenth starts at $17.29. Meeting notes are part of what you're paying for, but CRM integrations and custom templates still need Business at $40.
Free plan and trialCThe pricing page shows only paid plans with a 7-day trial, and the listing can't say whether a card is needed. Amie's own comparison pages mention a free tier for calendar and todos, but the pricing page doesn't show one, so don't count on it.
FeaturesBBot-free recording on Zoom, Google Meet, Slack huddles and Teams with summaries and action items, a calendar you drag todos onto, AI scheduling, and a chat that drafts emails and schedules tasks. Planner and note-taker in one, with the CRM side held back for Business.
Ease of useCNo rating on record, and before it's useful you're connecting calendars, Gmail and the meeting apps you call on. One part needs no setup: recording a call needs no bot invited to the meeting.
Platforms and integrationsBMac, Windows and iPhone, so computer and phone are covered, but no Android app and no web app are listed. It works with Google and Apple calendars, Gmail, Notion, Todoist, Slack, Linear and HubSpot, plus an MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.2

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Amie is for

  • Fits if you want meeting notes, calendar and todos in one app
  • Works for teams that send meeting notes on to Slack, Notion or Linear

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you're on Android or want a web app, as neither is listed
  • Pricey if you only want a calendar and todo list, at $20 a user a month billed yearly, $25 monthly
  • Tight if you need CRM links or custom templates, which need Business at $40 a user
  • Not for you if you like a refund as a safety net, since Amie's terms offer none unless the law requires it
  • Watch out: the pages disagree on a free tier, and the App Store lists Amie Pro 1 month at $34.99

Good to know

Good for

  • People who want meeting notes, calendar and todos in one app
  • Recording calls without a bot joining the meeting
  • Teams that send meeting notes to a CRM, Slack, Notion or Linear

Worth knowing

  • No Android app is listed. Amie is available to download for macOS, Windows and iOS.
  • CRM integrations, custom templates and custom branding on shared notes need the Business plan.
  • Amie's terms say refunds are not offered except where required by law.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Amie you would be making a bot that joins your calls and turns the talk into notes. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 53 of the 69 other daily planner apps grade higher. It costs $240 a year.

What you could make

  • Calendar, tasks and time blocking: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • A bot that joins your calls and turns the talk into notes.
  • A scheduler that rearranges your day as things move.
  • Apps for macOS, Windows and iOS that stay in step with each other.
  • It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
  • It plugs into other products, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Gmail among them.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Amie’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
