Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.4

GPA, above 17 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade

Arcush is a daily planner for iPhone that combines a to-do list with a calendar on one timeline. Tasks are placed as time blocks through the day, ideas wait in an Inbox, and anything left unscheduled is cleared out automatically so the list stays short. The core planner is free. Arcush PRO, sold as a monthly, yearly or lifetime purchase, adds calendar sync, blocking off focus time in calendars, color customization and recurring tasks.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Arcush, taken from its own pages and our grades.

Tasks go on a timeline of your day, ideas wait in an Inbox, and anything you never schedule gets cleared out for you.

The report card

Best for bare-bones time blocking on an iPhone

Arcush is a pared-back time-blocking planner for iPhone. Tasks go on a timeline of your day, ideas wait in an Inbox, and anything you never schedule gets cleared out for you. Pro is $9.99 a year or $24.99 once. But it's iPhone only, calendar sync and repeating tasks sit behind Pro, you can't create calendar events in it, and three developers build it in their spare time.

ToolGPA report cardArcushGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyAPro is $3.99 a month, $9.99 a year or $24.99 once on the US App Store. The yearly works out under a dollar a month against a $5.99 middle for planners here, and the lifetime price is less than four months of a typical subscription.
Free plan and trialCThe core planner is free: tasks, the daily timeline, the Inbox, notifications and widgets. But calendar sync, repeating tasks and colours all need Pro, and a planner that can't see your calendar is a limit you'll hit on day one.
FeaturesCA daily timeline for time blocking, an Inbox that clears out what you never schedule, calendar sync, repeating tasks and a way to block off focus time in a work calendar. It does that one job fully, and it's a small job: you can edit calendar events in Arcush but not create them.
Ease of useBNo rating on record, but there's nothing to set up: download it, and every task setting sits on one screen. You can add a task from a Home Screen widget without opening the app at all.
Platforms and integrationsDiPhone only, on iOS 16 and above, syncing with whatever calendars are already on your phone. The makers say iPad, Mac and Apple Watch versions are planned and an Android app isn't.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.4

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Arcush is for

  • Fits if you want a stripped-down time-blocking planner on your iPhone
  • Works for anyone who'd rather pay $24.99 once than subscribe

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you plan on an iPad, Mac or Android phone, as it's iPhone only on iOS 16 and up
  • Tight if you're staying free, because calendar sync, repeating tasks and colors need Pro
  • Not for you if you want to add meetings from your planner, since calendar events can't be created in Arcush
  • Watch out: the About page says three developers build it in their spare time, and an Android app isn't planned

Good to know

Good for

  • iPhone users who want a pared-back time-blocking planner
  • People who like their to-do list and calendar on one timeline
  • Buyers who prefer a low one-time price to a subscription

Worth knowing

  • iPhone only, on iOS 16 and above. The vendor says iPad, Mac and Apple Watch versions are planned and an Android app is not.
  • Calendar sync, blocking off time in calendars, color customization and recurring tasks all require Arcush PRO.
  • Calendar events can be edited in Arcush but not created there.
  • The About page says the app is built by three developers in their spare time.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Your call

A daily planner at its plainest is today's tasks laid along a timeline.

You could make the core of Arcush for yourself: time blocking, tasks and calendar. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. At $9.99 a year it costs less than the weekend it would take to replace, which is the argument for keeping it.

What you could make

  • Time blocking, tasks and calendar: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • A real app for iOS. Something home-made would be a web page.
  • Hooks into the device itself: widgets.

What this rests on. Arcush’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
