Our verdict

First of our top three email verification and deliverability tools

For: Most small senders cleaning a list

DeBounce removes addresses that would bounce before you send: upload a file or import a list from Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo or ActiveCampaign, with duplicates removed free, or check sign-ups as they happen through the API, a JavaScript widget or a WordPress plugin. Credits never expire and come in packs of $15 for 5,000, $25 for 10,000 or $135 for 100,000, after 100 free credits with no card. Know the limits: catch-all checks cost 10 credits an address, monthly list rechecks cost twice the list size in credits, and it does not warm up inboxes, test placement or manage DMARC.

Best for the cheapest pack for cleaning a list

DeBounce cleans lists and checks sign-ups, with a WordPress plugin and imports straight from Mailchimp, HubSpot and Klaviyo. It's the cheapest of the list cleaners for 10,000 checks, at $25, and the credits never expire. Catch-all checks cost 10 credits each, though, and there's no warm-up or DMARC.

Who DeBounce is for

  • Great if you want the cheapest way in, at $15 for 5,000 checks
  • Good for WordPress sites that want sign-up forms checked
  • Handy when your list lives in Mailchimp, HubSpot or Klaviyo

Who DeBounce is not for

  • Tight if your list is full of catch-all domains, at 10 credits a deeper check
  • Skip it if you need warm-up, placement tests or DMARC

Why DeBounce gets a 2.6

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • BValue for money$25 for a one-off 10,000 checks, taxes included, and the credits never expire. That's the cheapest among its listed rivals: Clearout is $32 a month billed yearly, MillionVerifier $39, Bouncer and Emailable $60 and ZeroBounce about $129.
  • CFree plan and trialNo free plan, but 100 free credits with no card. Enough to test a sample of your list, not to clean it.
  • CFeaturesIt does the checking job fully: bulk files, an API and form widget, catch-all checks, name lookups and monthly list rechecks. That's a smaller job, though: no warm-up, placement tests or DMARC, and catch-all checks cost 10 credits each.
  • BEase of useNo App Store rating on record, but nothing to set up: upload a list or import it from a connected email platform, and duplicates are removed free before checking.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb, an API and a JavaScript widget, with Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Google Sheets, SendGrid, a WordPress plugin and Zapier. No phone or desktop app.
