Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.2
GPA, above 2 of the 19 other social media schedulers we grade
Hypefury is a scheduling and automation tool for creators and personal brands. Posts are written once and sent to Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, with automatic follow-up comments and DMs that point readers to a newsletter or product. Its pricing page says it no longer supports X (Twitter), the network it was first built for.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Hypefury, taken from its own pages and our grades.
There's no App Store rating on record for us to go by, and you'll connect each network and set up Autoplugs first.
- 1
Best for creators posting the same writing everywhere
But it no longer supports X, the network it was first built for, and there's no inbox or Facebook.
- 2
Paid plans start at $5 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $5 per channel / month, billed annually ($6 billed monthly).
- 3
You can try it first
7-day free trial, no credit card required
- 4
It runs on Web
Web.
- 5
Cross-posting to five networks
Write a post once and schedule it to Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, including LinkedIn carousels and long posts.
- 6
Tweetshots and repurposing
Turns text posts into Instagram images, Reels, TikTok videos or LinkedIn carousels. Flexible allows 2 Tweetshots a day and Full allows 5.
- 7
Autoplugs and Auto DMs
Autoplugs add a first comment, such as a newsletter link, under posts that do well. Auto DMs message Instagram users who reply with a chosen keyword.
- 8

The report card
Best for creators posting the same writing everywhere
Hypefury is a creator's tool rather than a business suite: write once, post to Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, and let Autoplugs drop a newsletter link under posts that take off. It's cheap. But it no longer supports X, the network it was first built for, and there's no inbox or Facebook.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | B | Full is $199 a year, about $16.60 a month, for all five of its networks. It's narrower than most of this category, so we set it against its listed alternatives: Buffer, Publer, Metricool, SocialBee and Taplio all cost more for five channels. No team seats are listed. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan, but a 7-day trial with no card needed. A week is just about long enough to see whether Autoplugs earn their keep. |
| Features | C | Cross-posting, Tweetshots that turn text into images and videos, Autoplugs, Instagram Auto DMs, evergreen reposts and AI drafts. It does the creator's job, but on five networks: no X any more, no Facebook, and no inbox on record. |
| Ease of use | C | There's no App Store rating on record for us to go by, and you'll connect each network and set up Autoplugs first. So it gets the ordinary grade. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | Browser only: its pages list no phone or desktop apps, and its only connections are the five networks it posts to. That's one family of devices. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Hypefury is for
- Great if you write for Bluesky, Threads and LinkedIn and want it everywhere
- Handy when you want a newsletter link added under posts that do well
- Good for creators on one or two networks who'd rather pay per channel
Who it is not for
- Skip it if X is your main network, as Hypefury no longer supports it
- Too light for business teams that need an inbox, approvals or Facebook
- Not for you if you post from your phone, since it's browser only
Good to know
Good for
- Solo creators posting the same writing to Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn and Instagram
- Creators who want to plug a newsletter or product under posts that take off
- People on one or two networks who would rather pay per channel
Worth knowing
- The pricing page says X (Twitter) is no longer supported, though the homepage and help center still describe X features.
- Flexible costs $6 a month for each connected network, so three or more networks cost about as much as Full at $19.
- There is no free plan, only a 7-day trial.
- Its pages list no mobile or desktop apps; it is used in a browser.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
You could make this
What Hypefury does at its core is reports, and that is the kind of thing an AI app builder makes well.
You would give up 2 things, listed below, and little else. It costs $60 a year. An AI app builder starts at about $19 a month on our listings, and you only need it while you build.
What you could make
- Reports: an app builder makes this well.
- It runs in a browser, which is where something home-made would run too.
What you could not
- It plugs into other products, Bluesky, Threads and LinkedIn among them.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
What this rests on. Hypefury’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
