Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.2

GPA, above 9 of the 51 other email apps we grade

Leave Me Alone is a web-based service for clearing unwanted email out of an existing mailbox. It lists the mailing lists found in connected accounts and unsubscribes from them, bundles the newsletters you keep into scheduled digest emails called Rollups, and can screen first-time senders and block spam and cold outreach. It connects to Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, AOL, Fastmail, Mail.com and other IMAP accounts, and it becomes a paid service after 10 free unsubscribes.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Leave Me Alone, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for unsubscribing from everything, across accounts

It works on the mailbox you already have, from Gmail to most IMAP accounts, but not Proton Mail.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $7.50 a month when paid by the year

As its pricing page puts it: $9 per month, or $90 billed yearly.

  3. 3

    You can try it first

10 unsubscribes free with no credit card, after which it is a paid service; purchases carry a 14-day money-back guarantee

  4. 4

    It runs on Web

    Web.

  5. 5

    Unsubscriber

Lists the subscription emails in connected accounts and unsubscribes for you: it sends an unsubscribe request, follows the link's steps automatically or emails the sender to ask for removal.

  6. 6

    Rollups

Senders you choose are moved out of the inbox and delivered together as one digest email, daily or weekly at a time you set. The originals stay in a folder in your mailbox.

  7. 7

    Screener

Holds back mail from first-time senders until you allow or block them, and sends a Daily Digest of everything screened in the previous 24 hours.

  8. 8

    A 2.2 GPA, above 9 of 51

That is against the other email apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  9. 9

    Keep it

To replace Leave Me Alone you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card

Best for unsubscribing from everything, across accounts

Leave Me Alone finds the mailing lists in your inbox and unsubscribes you, bundles the newsletters you keep into one digest, and holds back strangers and cold pitches. It works on the mailbox you already have, from Gmail to most IMAP accounts, but not Proton Mail. Only 10 unsubscribes are free, then it's $9 a month, Rollups and the Spam Blocker need the $16 plan, and there's no phone or desktop app.

ToolGPA report cardLeave Me AloneGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCCasual Emailer is $9 a month, or $90 yearly, which is the ordinary middle for this category, and it covers 4 accounts and unlimited unsubscribes. Rollups, the Spam Blocker, do-not-disturb and priority senders all need Inbox Zero Hero at $16. A one-off clear-out is $19 for a Seven Day Pass.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan. You get 10 unsubscribes free with no credit card, enough to see how it works. After that it's a paid service, with a 14-day money-back guarantee on purchases.
FeaturesCIt does its one job: unsubscribing for you, even emailing a sender to ask for removal, with Rollups digesting what you keep, a Screener for first-time senders, a Spam Blocker and shielded addresses. That's a narrow slice of email, and it says itself it isn't a mail client.
Ease of useCNo rating on record. Nothing moves house, but you start by connecting each mailbox and then deciding rollups, screener rules, blocklists and do-not-disturb schedules.
Platforms and integrationsBA web app with no phone or desktop app, connected to Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, AOL, Fastmail, Mail.com and other IMAP accounts. Proton Mail accounts can't be connected.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.2

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Leave Me Alone is for

  • Fits if years of sign-ups have filled several inboxes with lists you never read
  • Works for people who want the newsletters they keep delivered together as one digest, on the $16 plan

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if your email is Proton Mail, because those accounts can't be connected
  • Tight if you're on Casual Emailer and wanted Rollups or the Spam Blocker, which it leaves out
  • Not for you if you want it free, as only the first 10 unsubscribes are
  • Watch out: custom shielded addresses are limited to 3 for now
  • Tight if you have more than 4 accounts on Casual Emailer, or more than 2 on the $19 Seven Day Pass

Good to know

Good for

  • Unsubscribing from many mailing lists across several email accounts
  • People who want the newsletters they keep batched into one digest
  • Keeping cold outreach and unknown senders out of the inbox

Worth knowing

  • Casual Emailer covers 4 email accounts and leaves out the Spam Blocker, do-not-disturb mode, priority senders and Rollups; those need Inbox Zero Hero.
  • Only 10 unsubscribes are free; the help center says it is a paid service after that.
  • Proton Mail accounts cannot be connected.
  • It is not an email client: it works on your existing mailbox through a web app, and held or blocked mail stays in folders there.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Leave Me Alone you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 33 of the 51 other email apps grade higher. It costs $90 a year.

What you could not

  • Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
  • Filters that read every message as it arrives.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.

What this rests on. Leave Me Alone’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
