|---|---|---|
| Value for money | BCasual Emailer is $9 a month or $90 billed yearly, right in the middle for email tools here, with 4 email accounts and unlimited unsubscribes. Rollups, the Spam Blocker and do-not-disturb need Inbox Zero Hero at $16. For a one-off clear-out there's a Seven Day Pass at $19 that doesn't renew. | CSnack is $6.99 a month or $58.99 a year, which sounds fine until you see it covers 1 email account and any 2 features. Lunch is $11.99 for 2 accounts and 6 features. Only Dinner has the lot, at $35.99 a month or $299.99 a year. That's a steep climb for filtering. |
| Free plan and trial | CNo free plan. You get 10 unsubscribes free with no credit card, which is enough to see how it works and not much more. After that it's a paid service. Purchases carry a 14-day money-back guarantee. | CNo free plan. You get a 7-day free trial of any plan with no credit card required, then it's a paid subscription or nothing. We think a week is short for a filter that has to learn your habits. |
| Features | AIt's focused on unwanted mail and it covers that fully. It unsubscribes for you, even emailing the sender to ask for removal. Rollups deliver the newsletters you keep as a daily or weekly digest, the Screener holds first-time senders, and the Spam Blocker files cold sales emails away. Nothing is deleted. | AIt learns from how you handle mail and moves the unimportant stuff to SaneLater, with a Daily Digest of what it filtered. SaneBlackHole keeps a sender out for good. Add snooze folders, reminders when a sent email gets no reply, and a do-not-disturb mode. For filtering, that's the full kit. |
| Ease of use | BNo rating on record, so a B is our ceiling. It's a web app that works on your existing mailbox, so there's no new email app to move to. Held and blocked mail stays in folders there. | A4.6 from about 650 App Store ratings. There's no new app to learn: its folders simply show up in whichever email client or device you already use. |
| Platforms and integrations | BA web app, with no phone or desktop app listed. It connects to Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, AOL, Fastmail, Mail.com and other IMAP accounts, which covers most people. Proton Mail accounts can't be connected. | BIt works with Gmail, Microsoft 365, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail and other IMAP or Exchange accounts, with a web account plus iPhone and Android companion apps. Those apps aren't email clients, though, and nothing beyond mail accounts is listed to connect to. |
| Best for | unsubscribing from everything, across accounts | smarter filtering in the email app you already use |

Key features
Leave Me Alone
- Unsubscriber
- Lists the subscription emails in connected accounts and unsubscribes for you: it sends an unsubscribe request, follows the link's steps automatically or emails the sender to ask for removal.
- Rollups
- Senders you choose are moved out of the inbox and delivered together as one digest email, daily or weekly at a time you set. The originals stay in a folder in your mailbox.
- Screener
- Holds back mail from first-time senders until you allow or block them, and sends a Daily Digest of everything screened in the previous 24 hours.
- Spam Blocker
- Moves spam, cold sales emails and lists you have already unsubscribed from into a folder, using your custom blocklist and a spam check whose strictness you can set. Nothing is deleted.
- Shielded Emails
- Private addresses to hand out instead of your own. Mail sent to them is rolled up, forwarded or unsubscribed, and custom addresses are currently limited to 3.
- Do Not Disturb and Priority Senders
- Schedules hold incoming mail and release it when they end, while Priority Senders always reach the inbox regardless of blocklists, Rollups or schedules.
SaneBox
- SaneLater filtering
- Analyzes how you handle email to judge what matters, then moves unimportant messages out of the inbox into a separate SaneLater folder.
- SaneBlackHole
- Send a sender to the BlackHole and their future messages are kept out of your inbox for good.
- Daily Digest
- A daily summary of the unimportant, unopened email that was filtered. Digests can also be processed in the iOS and Android companion apps.
- Snooze and follow-up reminders
- Snooze folders bring a message back to the inbox later, and SaneReminders flags sent emails that have not received a reply.
- SaneDoNotDisturb
- Holds incoming email during quiet time set aside for focused work and delivers it afterwards.
- Works with your current email
- Connects to Gmail, Microsoft 365, iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail, IMAP and Exchange accounts, so its folders show up in whichever email client or device you use.
