BlueMail report card
Excellent · out of 4.0 · graded Oct 9, 2026
Best for one free inbox on every device you own
BlueMail is an email app that runs on pretty much everything: iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux. The free plan takes unlimited accounts into one inbox, so plenty of people will never pay, and the AI that sums up threads and drafts replies is the paid bit, from $35.99 a year. If you like your email in a browser tab, though, there's no web version.
Who BlueMail is for
- Great if you want the same email app on your phone, your Mac and a Linux machine
- Handy when you juggle several accounts, since even the free plan takes unlimited ones
- Good for keeping newsletters and receipts in their own groups, away from mail from people
Who BlueMail is not for
- Skip it if you want email in a browser tab, as there's no web version
- Not for you if you need S/MIME, which is listed on the Enterprise plan only
- Tight if you were hoping for free AI, because GemAI starts on Plus
Why BlueMail gets a 3.8
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- AValue for moneyPlus is $35.99 a year, which BlueMail shows as $3 a month. Paid email tools here start at about $9 in the middle, so that's cheap for unlimited GemAI, desktop backup and priority support. Pay monthly and it's $4.99.
- AFree plan and trialThe Personal plan is free for good: unlimited email accounts, the unified inbox, Clusters and PGP encryption on every platform. Most people could stay on it. What's held back is GemAI and email backup on desktop.
- AFeaturesOne inbox for every account, Clusters that group newsletters and receipts, a screener that holds mail from new senders, a calendar inside the app and PGP. GemAI summarises threads and drafts replies on Plus. That's the whole job of a mail app. S/MIME is Enterprise only, mind.
- BEase of useNo rating on record, so a B is our ceiling. It's an app you install and add accounts to, and it takes Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, iCloud, Exchange and any IMAP or POP3 account.
- APlatforms and integrationsiPhone, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux, which is more than most mail apps manage. It hooks into Slack, Notion, Linear, Trello, Asana and the big cloud drives. The one gap is the web: no browser version is listed.
