Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.4

GPA, above 18 of the 74 other calendar and scheduling apps we grade

OneCal keeps Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud and CalDAV calendars in step by copying events between them in real time, so a meeting on one calendar blocks the same time on the others. The same subscription includes one-on-one and collective booking links, a unified view for managing every connected calendar, and an AI assistant. There is no free plan: every account starts with a 14-day trial and then needs one of three per-user plans.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about OneCal, taken from its own pages and our grades.

No rating on record, and setting up means connecting accounts and building sync rules in the web app.
From our grade for ease of use
  1. 1

Best for stopping double bookings across several calendars

OneCal copies events between Google, Outlook, iCloud and CalDAV calendars in real time, so busy on one means busy on all, with booking links and a combined view in the same price.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $5 a month for each person

As its pricing page puts it: $5 per user / month, billed annually ($6 billed monthly).

  3. 3

    You can try it first

14-day free trial on every plan, no credit card required

  4. 4

    It runs on 4 platforms

    Web, macOS, iOS and Android.

  5. 5

    Real-time calendar sync

Copies events between Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud and CalDAV calendars, one-way or multi-way, so each calendar shows the time as taken. Every plan allows unlimited sync configurations.

  6. 6

    Privacy controls for synced events

Choose which details are copied, such as titles, descriptions, participants, locations and meeting links. Clones can be marked private, and events can be excluded by color or category.

  7. 7

    Scheduling links

Unlimited one-on-one and collective booking links with buffers, minimum notice, custom questions, manual confirmation, workflows and embedding. Availability is read from all connected calendars.

  8. 8

    A 2.4 GPA, above 18 of 74

That is against the other calendar and scheduling apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

The report card

Best for stopping double bookings across several calendars

OneCal copies events between Google, Outlook, iCloud and CalDAV calendars in real time, so busy on one means busy on all, with booking links and a combined view in the same price. There's no free plan: after 14 days your syncs pause, cloned events are removed and booking links go dark. Starter covers 2 calendars at $5 a user billed annually, and setup can't be done from the phone apps.

ToolGPA report cardOneCalGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCStarter is $5 a user a month billed annually, $6 monthly, which is the middle band of this category. What you're really buying is calendars: 2 on Starter, 5 on Essential at $10, 50 on Premium at $25. Hold five clients' calendars and the bill doubles.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan, but the 14-day trial on every plan needs no card. When it ends, syncs pause, the cloned events are removed and booking links go dark until you buy a plan.
FeaturesBBoth halves of the job: one-way or multi-way sync with control over which details get copied, unlimited one-on-one and collective booking links with workflows, one view to create and edit events on every calendar, and an AI assistant that changes nothing until you confirm.
Ease of useCNo rating on record, and setting up means connecting accounts and building sync rules in the web app. The phone apps won't help: there, syncs are view-only and booking links can't be made or edited.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, iPhone and Android with Zoom, Teams, Meet, Zapier and an MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT. The Mac app is really the iPad app, which the App Store limits to Macs with an M1 chip or later.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.4

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who OneCal is for

  • Fits if your work and personal calendars keep landing you in two places at once
  • Works for consultants and freelancers holding calendars from several clients

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you want something free, because syncs and booking links stop when the 14-day trial ends
  • Pricey if you need more than 5 calendars, which means Premium at $25 a user a month billed annually
  • Not for you if you want to set things up from your phone, as syncs and booking links are managed on the web
  • Watch out: removing OneCal branding from booking pages and dedicated support need Premium
  • Watch out: the Mac app is the iPad app, limited to Macs with an M1 chip or later, and several admin features are on request

Good to know

Good for

  • People whose work and personal calendars keep producing double bookings
  • Consultants and freelancers holding calendars from several clients
  • Teams that want calendar sync and booking links in one subscription

Worth knowing

  • There is no free plan. When the 14-day trial ends, syncs are paused, cloned events are removed and booking links are disabled until a plan is bought.
  • Starter connects 2 calendars per user and Essential 5. Removing OneCal branding from booking pages and dedicated support need Premium.
  • In the mobile apps, calendar syncs are view-only and booking links cannot be created or edited; that setup is done in the web app.
  • The macOS app on the plan table is the iPhone and iPad app, which the App Store marks as designed for iPad and limits to Macs with an M1 chip or later.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

The plain part of OneCal you could make: calendar. What surrounds it you could not. The 7 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 45 of the 74 other calendar and scheduling apps grade higher. It costs $60 a year.

What you could make

  • Calendar: an app builder makes this well.

What you could not

  • Booking pages that read and write other people's calendars and send the emails.
  • Apps for macOS, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.
  • It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
  • It plugs into other products, Google Calendar, Outlook and iCloud Calendar among them.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • What a company asks for before it lets staff use something: single sign-on, SCIM and audit logs.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. OneCal’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
