Who each one suits

Calendly

  • Sales, recruiting and customer teams that book many external meetings
  • Individuals who need one free booking link
  • Teams that need round-robin assignment and lead routing

OneCal

  • People whose work and personal calendars keep producing double bookings
  • Consultants and freelancers holding calendars from several clients
  • Teams that want calendar sync and booking links in one subscription

Worth knowing

Calendly

  • The Free plan allows one event type and one calendar connection, for one-on-one meetings only.
  • Round-robin scheduling, lead routing and Salesforce sync need Teams; SSO is an add-on on Teams and built into Enterprise.
  • Notetaker and Callie are not in base Standard or Teams. They need a Plus plan (Teams Plus is $24 per seat / month, billed yearly) and are English-only.
  • Enterprise starts at $15k per year and 50 seats and is billed in USD only.

OneCal

  • There is no free plan. When the 14-day trial ends, syncs are paused, cloned events are removed and booking links are disabled until a plan is bought.
  • Starter connects 2 calendars per user and Essential 5. Removing OneCal branding from booking pages and dedicated support need Premium.
  • In the mobile apps, calendar syncs are view-only and booking links cannot be created or edited; that setup is done in the web app.
  • The macOS app on the plan table is the iPhone and iPad app, which the App Store marks as designed for iPad and limits to Macs with an M1 chip or later.

Key features

Calendly

Event types and booking pages
Set up event types and share a link so invitees choose a time from your availability. Free allows one event type; paid plans allow unlimited.
Team scheduling
Group and collective events come with Standard. Round-robin distribution and centrally managed event types start on Teams.
Routing and CRM sync
Teams adds lead qualification and routing along with Salesforce sync. HubSpot connects from the Standard plan.
Automations and payments
Standard and above send automated reminders and can take payment at booking through Stripe or PayPal.
Notetaker and Callie
Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls to record, transcribe and recap them. Callie is a beta AI assistant that schedules over email. Both come with the Plus plans.
Apps, extensions and API
iOS and Android apps, extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, add-ins for Outlook, Gmail and LinkedIn, website embeds, and a REST API with webhooks.

OneCal

Real-time calendar sync
Copies events between Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud and CalDAV calendars, one-way or multi-way, so each calendar shows the time as taken. Every plan allows unlimited sync configurations.
Privacy controls for synced events
Choose which details are copied, such as titles, descriptions, participants, locations and meeting links. Clones can be marked private, and events can be excluded by color or category.
Scheduling links
Unlimited one-on-one and collective booking links with buffers, minimum notice, custom questions, manual confirmation, workflows and embedding. Availability is read from all connected calendars.
Unified calendar view
One interface for every connected calendar: create, edit and delete events, RSVP to invites, join calls, hide the clones made by sync and see when teammates are free.
AI Assistant and MCP server
A built-in chat answers questions about your schedule and proposes changes to events, syncs and booking links, each applied only after you confirm. An MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT or other MCP clients.
Team administration
The plan table lists OIDC/SAML SSO, SCIM directory sync, audit logs, admin-managed accounts and a user provisioning API on every tier. The docs say several of these are enabled on request.
