Best for CRM-targeted signature banners in large firms
Opensense targets signature banners at CRM accounts and deal stages and reports clicks per recipient, including on Microsoft's GCC High cloud. Every plan has a $500 monthly minimum plus a service plan with no published price, so it's only for large organizations.
Who Opensense is for
- Fits if you're a large organization that wants IT-controlled signatures on Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Exchange
- Works for US government contractors on Microsoft's GCC High cloud
Who Opensense is not for
- Not for you if you're a small company: every plan has a $500 monthly minimum
- Watch out: every plan also needs a service plan whose price isn't on the pricing page
- Skip it if you want to try it without a sales call, as trials go only to accounts qualified through a demo
- Pricey if you want email tracking too, which is a separate line of plans from $20 to $65 a user a month
- Watch out: GCC High costs $2 more a user a month, and account and deal-stage targeting need Complete at $5
Why Opensense gets a 2.2
Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.
- DValue for money$1 a user a month on paper, but every plan has a $500 monthly minimum plus a service plan with no published price. One person pays the same $500 a month, and a team of five at least $100 a head, deep in this category's dearest tenth; a success manager and 24/7 phone support are included.
- DFree plan and trialNo free plan. Trials go only to accounts Opensense qualifies through a demo, and it says a small company is better served by a free generator.
- AFeaturesDeployment by transport rule or add-in, directory and HR sync, banner A/B tests, impressions and clicks per recipient, and CRM targeting by account or deal stage. It's the only listing here on Microsoft's GCC High cloud, at $2 more per user.
- CEase of useNo app store rating on record. Deployment goes by transport rule, Outlook add-in or both, which an IT team sets up with the success manager every plan includes.
- BPlatforms and integrationsWeb, with Microsoft 365 including GCC High, Google Workspace, Exchange, Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Workday and Calendly. No desktop or phone app of its own.

Keep Opensense, or make your own?
Keep it
The plain part of Opensense you could make: email signature, digital business card and reports. What surrounds it you could not. The 5 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 6 of the 9 other email signature tools grade higher. It costs $12 a year.
What you could make
- Email signature, digital business card and reports: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- Splitting visitors between versions and telling you which won.
- It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
- It plugs into other products, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Microsoft Exchange among them.
- What a company asks for before it lets staff use something: single sign-on.
- The depth: we grade its features A, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Opensense’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
