Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.4

GPA, above 19 of the 51 other email apps we grade

Polymail is an email client for Mac, Windows, iOS and the web that connects to existing Gmail, Outlook and iCloud accounts. It is aimed at people who sell or close deals over email, with per-recipient read tracking, follow-up reminders, send later, templates, outreach sequences and meeting scheduling in one app. The company changed owners in 2025, and the site lists AI-powered workflows as coming soon. There is no free plan.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Polymail, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for selling and following up from your inbox

Polymail is an email app for selling over email, with open tracking, follow-up reminders, templates, sequences and booking pages in the inbox.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $10 a month

As its pricing page puts it: $10 per month, billed yearly ($13 billed monthly).

  3. 3

    You can try it first

7-day free trial of the Premium plan, no credit card required

  4. 4

    It runs on 4 platforms

    Web, macOS, Windows and iOS.

  5. 5

    Email tracking

Per-recipient open tracking plus link and attachment tracking, with every open, click and download timestamped in a searchable activity feed.

  6. 6

    Follow-up reminders and Read Later

A reminder returns a thread to the inbox if nobody replies within a set time, and Read Later moves non-urgent mail away until the date and time you choose.

  7. 7

    Send later and templates

Schedule an email for later delivery, even while offline, and reuse message templates with placeholders. Premium lets a team share templates.

  8. 8

    A 2.4 GPA, above 19 of 51

That is against the other email apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  9. 9

    Keep it

To replace Polymail you would be making an email client: sending, receiving, threading and searching years of mail. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card

Best for selling and following up from your inbox

Polymail is an email app for selling over email, with open tracking, follow-up reminders, templates, sequences and booking pages in the inbox. There's no free plan after the 7-day trial and no Android or Linux app. Basic at $10 a month connects 2 accounts and has no sequences, which need Premium at $24 a user, and Salesforce and SSO sit on Enterprise, which has no published price.

ToolGPA report cardPolymailGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCBasic is $10 a month billed yearly, $13 monthly, a little above this category's $8 middle, and it connects just 2 accounts. Sequences and up to 20 accounts mean Premium at $24 a user, and Salesforce, SSO and analytics are Enterprise, which isn't priced at all.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan. The trial is 7 days of the Premium plan with no credit card required. After that a paid plan is needed to keep using the app.
FeaturesBPer-recipient open tracking with link and attachment opens timestamped in a searchable feed, follow-up reminders, Read Later, send later, templates, outreach sequences, meeting booking pages and private comments on a thread. For running deals from an inbox the kit is complete, with AI workflows still only coming soon.
Ease of useCNo rating on record. Tracking and reminders sit in the inbox rather than in a separate tool, but you connect each Gmail, Outlook or iCloud account first, then build the templates, sequences and booking pages that make it worth paying for.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, Mac, Windows and iPhone, so computer and phone are covered, but there's no Android or Linux app. The connections are thin too: Gmail, Outlook and iCloud accounts, and the only other one on record, Salesforce, is Enterprise-only.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.4

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Polymail is for

  • Fits if you're a founder or salesperson who runs deals from the inbox
  • Works for people who want tracking, scheduling and outreach in one app instead of three add-ons

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you're on Android or Linux, as the apps are web, Mac, Windows and iPhone only
  • Tight if you're on Basic, which connects 2 email accounts and has no sequences
  • Pricey if you want sequences, as Premium is $24 a user a month yearly, $29 monthly
  • Not for you if you want to stay free, since the app stops working after the 7-day trial
  • Watch out: Salesforce, SSO and analytics are Enterprise only, and that plan has no published price

Good to know

Good for

  • Founders and salespeople who run their deals from the inbox
  • Replacing separate tracking, scheduling and outreach add-ons with one app
  • Managing several Gmail, Outlook or iCloud accounts in one inbox

Worth knowing

  • There is no free plan: after the 7-day trial a paid plan is needed to keep using the app.
  • Basic connects only 2 email accounts; sequences and up to 20 accounts need Premium at $24 per user / month, billed yearly.
  • The download page offers Mac, Windows and iOS apps only, alongside the web app; no Android or Linux app is listed.
  • Salesforce integration, SAML single sign-on and advanced analytics are limited to the custom-priced Enterprise plan.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Polymail you would be making an email client: sending, receiving, threading and searching years of mail. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $120 a year.

What you could make

  • Templates: an app builder makes this well.

What you could not

  • An email client: sending, receiving, threading and searching years of mail.
  • Booking pages that read and write other people's calendars and send the emails.
  • Apps for macOS, Windows and iOS that stay in step with each other.
  • Sharing with other people, which means accounts and invitations.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Polymail’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
