Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.6

GPA, above 15 of the 19 other social media schedulers we grade

Publer schedules and publishes posts to 13 networks and WordPress from a calendar, with bulk uploads, RSS automations and a browser extension for sharing from any page. Plans are built from a base tier plus the number of social accounts and extra team members, so the price grows with the setup. The Business tier adds analytics, best posting times, competitor tracking, post recycling and unlimited AI prompts.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Publer, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for cheap scheduling to lots of networks

There's no social inbox in its listing, so replies happen somewhere else.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $4 a month

As its pricing page puts it: $4 per month for 1 social account, billed yearly ($5 billed monthly).

  3. 3

    There is a free plan

1 user, 1 workspace, 3 social accounts other than X, 10 scheduled posts per account at a time and 25 drafts.

  4. 4

    It runs on 3 platforms

Web, iOS and Android, with a browser extension too.

  5. 5

    Calendar and cross-posting

Posts for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram, Google Business Profile and WordPress are planned on a drag-and-drop calendar.

  6. 6

    Bulk scheduling and RSS

Up to 500 posts at once from a CSV file or a bulk media upload, and RSS feeds that auto-schedule new articles, on paid plans.

  7. 7

    Recycling and AutoSchedule

Posting schedules fill slots automatically on every plan, and Business adds automatic recycling of evergreen posts with Spintax variations.

  8. 8

    A 2.6 GPA, above 15 of 19

That is against the other social media schedulers we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  9. 9

The report card

Best for cheap scheduling to lots of networks

Publer posts to 13 networks and WordPress, Telegram and Mastodon included, and you pay for the accounts and team members you add. Five accounts on Business, the plan with analytics, are $40 a month billed yearly before extra members. There's no social inbox in its listing, so replies happen somewhere else.

ToolGPA report cardPublerGraded Oct 17, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCBusiness, the plan with analytics and approvals, is $8 an account a month billed yearly, so five accounts are $40, and each extra team member adds to that. That's above this category's $29 middle and under the $58 dearer quarter. Professional is $20 for five.
Free plan and trialCFree for good with 3 accounts and 10 queued posts each, but no X, 25 drafts and only 24 hours of published-post history, and analytics are a Business thing. Fine for a try, tight for a business.
FeaturesCCalendar, bulk uploads of up to 500 posts, RSS, recycling, AI, competitor tracking and approvals on Business. The gaps it shows: no social inbox in its listing, a daily posting cap only Enterprise lifts, and an API only for eligible customers.
Ease of useAIts iPhone and iPad app averages 4.75 from about 26,600 ratings, and connecting accounts and scheduling a first post is quick.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, iPhone, Android and a browser extension, with Canva, Google Drive, Unsplash, WordPress and Linkie. No desktop app, which an A needs.
Grade point averageGood, out of 4.02.6

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Publer is for

  • Great if you post to less common places like Telegram, Mastodon or WordPress
  • Good for agencies that want unlimited workspaces and pay per account
  • Handy when you only need one or two accounts for a few dollars a month

Who it is not for

  • Not for you if you answer lots of comments and DMs, as no inbox is listed
  • Tight if you're free and on X, since the free plan leaves X out
  • Pricey if your team keeps growing, because every member adds to the bill

Good to know

Good for

  • Solo creators who want one or two accounts for a few dollars a month
  • Agencies that need unlimited workspaces and pay only for accounts used
  • People who post to less common networks such as Telegram or Mastodon

Worth knowing

  • The Free plan leaves out X, holds 10 scheduled posts per account at a time and keeps published posts for 24 hours.
  • Listed prices are for a single social account; each added account and team member raises the total, with every tenth one free.
  • Analytics, best times, competitor analysis, recycling, approvals and unlimited AI need Business; the API goes only to eligible Business and Enterprise customers.
  • Paid plans schedule without limit but cap daily posting to prevent spam; only Enterprise lifts Publer's daily cap.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Your call

You could make the core of Publer for yourself: calendar and reports.

What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. It costs $48 a year.

What you could make

  • Calendar and reports: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
  • It plugs into other products, Canva, Unsplash and Google Drive among them.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.

What this rests on. Publer’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
