Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

3.0

GPA, above 59 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade

Structured is a visual day planner that lays out tasks and calendar events on a single timeline. The free version covers timeline, all-day and inbox tasks with subtasks, notes and notifications. Structured Pro adds recurring tasks, calendar and Reminders import, Replan and an AI planning assistant, and is sold as a subscription or a lifetime purchase with regional pricing.

To get you started, here are 10 things to know about Structured, taken from its own pages and our grades.

It's on iPhone, Mac, Android and the web.
From our report card of Structured
  1. 1

Best for seeing your whole day on one timeline

Structured lays your day out as one line, tasks and calendar events together, so you can see that the dentist runs into lunch.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $2.99 a month

As its pricing page puts it: $2.99 to $7.99 per month (US App Store in-app purchase list).

  3. 3

    There is a free plan

Timeline, all-day and inbox tasks, subtasks, notes, notifications, widgets, sync and the Energy Monitor. Recurring tasks, calendar import and Structured AI need Pro.

  4. 4

    It runs on 4 platforms

    Web, macOS, iOS and Android.

  5. 5

    Visual timeline

Tasks and imported calendar events appear on one timeline for the day, with daily, weekly and monthly views and color coding.

  6. 6

    Inbox, subtasks and notes

Tasks can wait in an inbox until they are scheduled, and carry subtasks, notes, icons and notifications. All of this is in the free version.

  7. 7

    Calendar and Reminders import

Brings in events from Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook and to-do lists from Apple Reminders and Microsoft To Do. Requires Structured Pro.

  8. 8

    Refunds: no set window

Structured's terms name only two ways to get money back: the 14 days the law gives buyers in places that have that rule, and whatever the app store you bought through decides, which the store handles rather than Structured. There is no money-back promise of its own.

  9. 9

    A 3.0 GPA, above 59 of 69

That is against the other daily planner apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  10. 10

    Keep it

The plain part of Structured you could make: tasks, calendar, time blocking and Pomodoro timer. What surrounds it you could not. The 4 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

The report card

Best for seeing your whole day on one timeline

Structured lays your day out as one line, tasks and calendar events together, so you can see that the dentist runs into lunch. It's on iPhone, Mac, Android and the web. But repeating tasks, calendar import and Replan all need Pro, Structured publishes no price list, there's no Windows app, and the web version still lacks features the phone apps have.

ToolGPA report cardStructuredGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyBThe US App Store lists Pro from $9.99 to $39.99 a year, which is $0.83 to $3.33 a month, inside the cheaper quarter of this category, or $99.99 once for life. The snag is that Structured publishes no price list at all, so what you're offered depends on your region.
Free plan and trialCFree for good, with the timeline, an inbox, subtasks, notes, notifications, widgets and sync. But repeating tasks, calendar import, Reminders import and Replan all need Pro, and a day planner that can't see your calendar or repeat a task is one you'll outgrow in a week.
FeaturesBIt covers the whole job: one timeline for tasks and events with day, week and month views, an inbox for what isn't scheduled yet, imports from Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Reminders and Microsoft To Do, repeating tasks, Replan for the ones you missed, and an AI that drafts a day or scans a paper timetable.
Ease of useA4.79 from about 167,000 App Store ratings, far over our bar for an A. Your day is a single colored line you read top to bottom.
Platforms and integrationsBiPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android and a web app, kept in step by Structured Cloud, importing from Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Reminders and Microsoft To Do. But there's no Windows app, no API on record, and the web version still doesn't have every feature of the phone apps.
Grade point averageVery good, out of 4.03.0

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Structured is for

  • Fits if a plain task list never sticks and you want the day as a timeline
  • Makes sense if you'd rather pay once, as Pro has a lifetime price of $99.99

Who it is not for

  • Tight if you're staying free, because repeating tasks, calendar import and Replan are all Pro
  • Skip it if you work on Windows, where there's only the web version and it isn't complete yet
  • Not for you if you want a price up front, as Pro prices depend on your region and show only in the app or store
  • Watch out: the US App Store lists eight Pro price points, from $2.99 a month to $99.99 once
  • Watch out: the web version needs a connection and a Structured Cloud account, and the trial length isn't stated

Good to know

Good for

  • People who prefer a visual timeline of the day to a plain task list
  • Apple users who want one planner on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch
  • Buyers who would rather pay once: Pro has a lifetime purchase option

Worth knowing

  • The vendor publishes no price list. Pro pricing depends on region and currency and is shown in the app or app store.
  • Recurring tasks, calendar import, Reminders import, Replan and Structured AI all require Structured Pro.
  • There is no Windows app. Structured Web runs in a browser but does not yet have every feature of the mobile apps.
  • Structured Web needs an internet connection and a Structured Cloud sync account.

What most people miss: ways to pay less, settings worth changing and the catches

7

Things most people miss, each from its own help pages

The things about Structured that are easy to miss until they cost you: ways to pay less, settings worth changing and the catches at renewal or when you leave. Each one is from Structured’s own pages, linked beside it.

Read on Oct 17, 2026. Read from Structured's help centre articles on Pro, cancelling, refunds, backups, privacy and task features on 17 October 2026. Not tried out: these tips are what its own pages say.

  1. 1

    Shortcut

Turn on typed dates like "1h ballet class Friday at 4"

Natural Language Task Creation is off by default. Switch it on in Settings > Advanced, then type the date, time and length into the task title. It's in beta, Apple devices only for now, and works in English, German, French and Spanish.

    help.structured.app
  2. 2

    Easy to miss

Copy a whole day onto other days

Long-press a date, choose Copy Tasks From Day and pick tasks, recurring tasks, calendar events or Reminders to-dos. Then long-press another date and paste, as many times as you like. Handy for a template day. Not on Android or Structured Web yet.

    help.structured.app
  3. 3

    Privacy

Check the Donate Your Data switch

Structured can share your task titles and the icons you picked, anonymously it says, to train its icon picker. The help page doesn't say whether it's on by default. It's under Structured Settings > Privacy & Permissions on Apple devices.

    help.structured.app
  4. 4

    Renewal

Pro puts renewal reminders on your timeline

Structured adds all-day tasks reminding you that Pro will renew or run out soon, which is handy on a yearly plan. If you'd rather not see them, open one, tap the three dots and choose Disable Subscription Reminders.

    help.structured.app
  5. 5

    Pay less

Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases, not Structured

Bought Pro in the App Store? Structured can't refund you, so you ask Apple under Apple's rules. For Google Play and Structured Web purchases, Structured's own support team handles refunds. Worth knowing before you pick where to pay.

    help.structured.app
  6. 6

    Renewal

Cancel a web subscription through Paddle, not an app store

Pro bought on Structured Web is cancelled in Settings > Subscription > Manage Plan, which opens its payment partner Paddle. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are cancelled in those stores. Either way, Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.

    help.structured.app
  7. 7

    Leaving

Keep iCloud Drive backups on, because Structured can't restore your data

On Apple devices Structured saves a backup to iCloud Drive once a day, if iCloud Drive is on, and you can export one from Settings > Advanced > Backup. It's not on Android or the web yet. Without a backup, Structured says it can't get your data back.

Structured's GPA of 3.0 is higher than 59 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade, and level with 4.

It stands best on ease of use (A, above 64 of 69) and worst on free plan and trial (C, above 6).

Its paid plans start at $2.99 a month, against a middle price of $4.17 for the category: 12 of the 52 others that charge start lower.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

The plain part of Structured you could make: tasks, calendar, time blocking and Pomodoro timer. What surrounds it you could not. The 4 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 3.0 is higher than 59 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade. It costs $35.88 a year.

What you could make

  • Tasks, calendar, time blocking and Pomodoro timer: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • Apps for macOS, iOS and Android that stay in step with each other.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • Hooks into the device itself: an Apple Watch app.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Structured’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.

Refunds and cancelling

CGrade

Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026

Structured's terms name only two ways to get money back: the 14 days the law gives buyers in places that have that rule, and whatever the app store you bought through decides, which the store handles rather than Structured. There is no money-back promise of its own. Against that, cancelling is a link in the app or in the store, it takes effect at the end of the period you paid for, and the free app keeps working afterwards. No refunds plus a clean exit is a C.

Refund window
No set window
How you cancel
Yourself, in settings
Getting your money back

The terms say you may be entitled to a refund only if you exercise a statutory right of withdrawal within fourteen days of subscribing, or where the app store's own terms entitle you to one, in which case the app store processes it. No other refund is offered, and nothing is said about a refund after a renewal. Payments are taken in advance for each period, through the app store or Structured's payment provider.

Stated on strct.app
How to cancel Structured

The terms say you can cancel an existing subscription at any time through a link in the Structured app, or directly in the app store you bought it from, and that the cancellation runs to the end of the subscription period you chose. No help-centre article sets out the steps, so none are listed here.

Stated on strct.app
What you keep afterwards

Structured's help centre says the app can always be downloaded and used for free, and lists what the free version keeps: timeline and all-day tasks, the inbox, subtasks, notes, icons, colour coding, notifications and drag and drop. Pro-only features such as calendar import, recurring tasks and Structured AI stop. The pages do not say what becomes of anything made with a Pro feature once Pro ends.

Stated on help.structured.app
Renewals

The terms say that when a subscription period ends the booking is automatically extended by the same period and billed through the app store, unless you cancelled before it expired. No reminder before a renewal is mentioned. Prices may be changed at any time, with the change published in the app stores and in the app. The lifetime purchase is a one-off and does not renew.

Stated on strct.app

In your favour

  • You cancel from a link inside the app or in the app store, with nobody to write to.
  • Cancelling runs to the end of the period you already paid for, not the day you press it.
  • The free app carries on working afterwards, with tasks, subtasks, notes and reminders intact.
  • There is a lifetime purchase, which is a one-off and never renews.

Watch out for

  • Structured offers no money-back guarantee of its own, only the statutory 14 days and whatever the store allows.
  • Buy through the App Store or Google Play and the store, not Structured, decides any refund.
  • A subscription extends itself by the same period unless you cancel first, and no reminder is promised.
  • Nothing on these pages says what happens to anything you made with a Pro-only feature after Pro ends.

Customer support

CGrade

Ordinary · checked Oct 18, 2026

A contact form and a sizeable help centre, free for everyone, and that is the lot. No page says when the team is at its desk or how quickly it tries to answer, and there is no chat, no phone and no public forum. Nothing says paying for Pro moves you up the queue either. That is exactly where most small apps sit, so it is a C.

Ways to get help

  • Contact form or ticket

A contact form in the help centre asking for your name, email, subject, Structured User ID, platform and any extra context. It suggests help articles as you type and says a request will be answered shortly, without giving a time.

What depends on your plan

Its pages do not say.

In your favour

  • Anyone can use the contact form, whether they pay for Pro or not.
  • The help centre is detailed, with separate sections for troubleshooting and for each platform.

Watch out for

  • No page says when support works or how fast it aims to reply.
  • There is no live chat, no phone line and no public community forum.
  • Nothing says Pro buys a faster answer than the free app gets.

What these two grades rest on. Read on 18 October 2026: Structured's terms and conditions, its help-centre articles on what Structured Pro is and on which features are free, the help centre's contact form and its home page, and the imprint on structured.app. Nobody here cancelled a plan, asked for a refund or contacted its support. ToolGPA grades software the way a school report grades a pupil: five subjects, a letter for each with the reason written beside it, and a GPA that averages them. Prices, plans and platforms are read from each maker’s own pages and dated, so you always know how fresh a figure is.

Every grade, review and ranking on ToolGPA is our own judgement. No company can pay for a grade or change one. Every tool on the site has a guide like this one, free to download and pass on. It all lives at toolgpa.com.
