Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.2

GPA, above 3 of the 79 other project management tools we grade

TeamGantt is web-based scheduling software built around a shared Gantt chart. Tasks, dependencies and milestones are arranged by drag and drop, and the same plan can be shown as a board, calendar or list. Paid plans are sold at a flat rate tied to the number of projects rather than per user, and a Builder Edition adds tools for construction companies.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about TeamGantt, taken from its own pages and our grades.

No store rating on record, and the work is building the schedule itself: every task dragged into place and linked to the next.
From our grade for ease of use
  1. 1

Best for Gantt-first planning with lots of collaborators

TeamGantt is a Gantt chart tool that charges by the project, not by the person, so a crowd of occasional contributors costs nothing extra.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $49.08 a month when paid by the year

As its pricing page puts it: $59 per month, or $589 billed yearly (flat rate, 5 projects).

  3. 3

    Web, iOS and Android.

  5. 5

    Drag-and-drop Gantt charts

Schedules are built by dragging tasks on a timeline, linking them with dependencies and adding milestones. Several projects can be viewed in a single Gantt chart.

  6. 6

    Board, calendar and list views

The same plan can be switched between Gantt, board, calendar and list views that stay in sync. The plan comparison lists the Kanban view from Business up.

  7. 7

    Workload and availability

An availability view shows how many tasks and hours each person has on a given day. Workload management and team resourcing are part of Business and Builder Edition.

  8. 8

The report card

Best for Gantt-first planning with lots of collaborators

TeamGantt is a Gantt chart tool that charges by the project, not by the person, so a crowd of occasional contributors costs nothing extra. For two or three people, though, $59 a month for 5 projects is a lot, the free plan stops at 1 project and 40 tasks, the Kanban view, workload and time tracking need Business at $120 a month, and the trial wants a card.

ToolGPA report cardTeamGanttGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCBase is a flat $59 a month for 5 projects, 1 manager and 10 collaborators. Spread over eleven people that's about the $5.10 line for the cheapest quarter here; for three of you it's triple the going rate. Workload, the Kanban view, time tracking and estimates all need Business at $120 a month.
Free plan and trialCPersonal is free forever with caps you'll hit on day two: 1 user, 1 project and 40 tasks. Dependencies and drag-and-drop scheduling are in it. The 14-day trial of a paid plan wants a card and bills you when it ends.
FeaturesCIt does scheduling fully and that's a smaller job than the category's: drag-and-drop Gantt charts with dependencies, milestones and critical path, plus calendar and list views and AI to draft a first plan. The Kanban board, workload, time tracking and estimates are all marked Business and up.
Ease of useCNo store rating on record, and the work is building the schedule itself: every task dragged into place and linked to the next. The AI first draft takes some of that off you, and a public link shows outsiders the plan without an account.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, iPhone and Android, with Trello, Slack, Zapier, Dropbox, Basecamp, Procore and Microsoft Project wired in and a public API. No desktop app, which is what keeps it off the top mark.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.2

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who TeamGantt is for

  • Fits if you plan around a schedule and want the Gantt chart to be the main screen
  • Works for groups where many people dip in and out, since Business has unlimited collaborators

Who it is not for

  • Pricey if there are only two or three of you, as the cheapest paid plan is a flat $59 a month
  • Tight if you're staying free, because Personal is 1 user, 1 project and 40 tasks
  • Tight if you're on Base: 5 projects, 1 manager, 10 collaborators and 150 tasks per project
  • Skip it if you want the Kanban view, workload, time tracking or estimates without paying $120 a month for Business
  • Watch out: the 14-day trial asks for a card and bills you when it ends, and there's no desktop app

Good to know

Good for

  • Teams that plan around a schedule and want the Gantt chart first
  • Teams with many occasional contributors, since Business has unlimited collaborators
  • Construction firms, through the Builder Edition and its Procore sync

Worth knowing

  • Paid plans are priced by project count, not per user. Base is capped at 5 projects, 1 manager, 10 collaborators and 150 tasks per project.
  • The plan comparison includes critical path on Base but marks workload management, the Kanban view, time tracking and hourly estimating as Business and above.
  • The free trial requires a credit card and bills automatically for the trialed plan when the 14 days end.
  • The live pricing page localizes prices by country, so buyers outside the US may see amounts in another currency.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

The plain part of TeamGantt you could make: Gantt & timelines, tasks, kanban boards and time tracking. What surrounds it you could not. The 4 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 60 of the 79 other project management tools grade higher. It costs $589 a year.

What you could make

  • Gantt & timelines, tasks, kanban boards and time tracking: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
  • It plugs into other products, Trello, Procore and Slack among them, and has an API.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • Sharing with other people, which means accounts and invitations.

What this rests on. TeamGantt’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
