Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
3.0
GPA, above 103 of the 123 other to-do list apps we grade
Things To Do is a list app for iPhone and iPad from Onemast. Each list is one of three types: a to-do list where finished items drop to the bottom, a shopping list that keeps its order and can be unchecked for reuse, or a travel list with trip dates. Lists sync through the user's own iCloud account with no sign-up, and the vendor says the app has no ads and no in-app purchases.
To get you started, here are 8 things to know about Things To Do, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Pick a list type, type your items, tick them off, with nothing to set up.
- 1
Best for plain shopping and packing lists, free
Skip it if you need a list that pings you or one you share.
- 2
It is free
Things To Do has no paid plan at all. The whole app is free. The vendor's site states there are no ads, no in-app purchases and no account, and links to a Ko-fi page for optional donations.
- 3
It runs on 2 platforms
iOS and macOS.
- 4
Three list types
A list is a To-Do, Shopping or Travel list, each with its own behavior, and its type can be switched later. The app asks first when a switch would change headers, locks or trip dates.
- 5
Headers, stars and reordering
Shopping and Travel lists group items under section headers, starred items rise to the top, and items are dragged into any order.
- 6
Reusable lists with locked items
Uncheck All resets a Shopping or Travel list for the next use. An item marked Keep Completed stays checked through the reset.
- 7
A 3.0 GPA, above 103 of 123
That is against the other to-do list apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 8
Keep it
Things To Do is free, so making your own would save you nothing.

The report card
Best for plain shopping and packing lists, free
Things To Do is a free list app for iPhone and iPad with three kinds of list, to-do, shopping and travel, and no ads, in-app purchases or account. But it has no due dates or reminders, lists leave only as text or a printout so nobody can edit with you, it's Apple only, and it needs iOS 26.5 or later. Skip it if you need a list that pings you or one you share.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | Free, with no ads and no in-app purchases: an app anyone can download and run. The vendor's site says so plainly, and links to a Ko-fi page if you'd like to buy the developer a coffee. |
| Free plan and trial | A | The whole app is free and needs no account. Multiple lists, all three list types, iCloud sync, and text import, export and printing. There's no paid tier to hold anything back for, and no cap to reach. |
| Features | C | To-do, shopping and travel lists, headers, stars, drag to reorder, and Uncheck All to reuse a list. It does the checklist job fully, and a checklist is a smaller job: the guide covers no due dates or reminders, the only dates being trip dates, and no lists two people edit together. |
| Ease of use | B | Pick a list type, type your items, tick them off, with nothing to set up. You can paste in text with one item per line to make a list, and sync runs through your own iCloud with no sign-up. There's no rating on record, so it stops at a B. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | iPhone and iPad, plus Apple silicon Macs running the same app: one family of devices. There's no Android, Windows or web version, and iCloud is the only thing it connects to. It also needs iOS 26.5 or later, so an older iPhone is out. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Things To Do is for
- Fits if you want grocery and packing lists you can reset and reuse every time
- Works for travelers, since a Travel list takes your trip dates and counts the nights
Who it is not for
- Too light for anyone who needs due dates or reminders, as the guide covers neither
- Skip it if you share a shopping list with a partner, because lists only leave as text or a printout
- Not for you if you're on Android or Windows, as it only runs on Apple devices, with no web version
- Watch out: it needs iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5 or macOS 26.5 or later, so an older device is out
Good to know
Good for
- Plain to-do, grocery and packing lists on Apple devices
- People who want a free app with no ads and no account
- Reusing the same shopping or packing list each time
Worth knowing
- There is no separate Mac version: Apple silicon Macs run the iPhone and iPad app, and there is no Android, Windows or web version.
- The App Store listing requires iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5 or macOS 26.5 or later.
- Lists leave the app only as exported text or a printout; the guide describes no lists that several people edit together.
- The vendor's guide covers no due dates or reminders; the only dates are trip dates on Travel lists.
