Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.8

GPA, above 92 of the 123 other to-do list apps we grade

Todoery is a to-do list and daily planner app for Android and iOS from BetterApp Tech. Tasks are grouped into categories, can carry subtasks, priorities and alarm reminders, and appear in a calendar view and on home screen widgets. Most features are free with advertising, and a PRO purchase unlocks extras such as advanced repeat settings, more themes and custom ringtones.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Todoery, taken from its own pages and our grades.

You can add a task or mark one done from the home screen widget, so half the time you needn't open the app.

The report card

Best for a phone to-do list with alarms and widgets

Todoery is a phone to-do list with alarm reminders, a calendar view and widgets you can tick tasks off from. Most of it is free with ads, and PRO adds advanced repeats, themes and ringtones from $1.99 a month. But it's phones only, the App Store lists several prices for the same PRO purchase, Google Drive sync is Android only, and in August 2025 the developer said iPhone to Android sync was still being worked on.

ToolGPA report cardTodoeryGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyAMonthly PRO is $1.99 or $2.99 and Annual PRO runs from $17.99 to $29.99, all under what this category charges in the middle. Permanent PRO is $34.99 or $43.99 once, less than a year of a typical subscription. The odd part: the US App Store lists several prices for the same purchase.
Free plan and trialBLists, categories, subtasks, alarm reminders, the calendar view and widgets are all free, with adverts. One person could really live on that. PRO keeps back advanced repeat settings, some themes and custom ringtones.
FeaturesCCategories, priorities, subtasks, alarms, repeating tasks, a calendar view and AI-assisted task creation. The basics for a phone list, with a gap the listing names: Google Drive sync is Android only, and in an August 2025 App Store reply the developer said iOS to Android syncing was still being worked on.
Ease of useB4.6 from 5,689 App Store ratings, taken as the store writes it, which is a B and short of the 4.7 an A asks for. You can add a task or mark one done from the home screen widget, so half the time you needn't open the app.
Platforms and integrationsCAndroid and iOS only, with Wear OS watches on the Android side, Google Drive for backup and Siri on iPhone. Phones and nothing else: the vendor's page offers downloads from Google Play and the App Store, with no web or desktop version.
Grade point averageGood, out of 4.02.8

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Todoery is for

  • Fits if you want a phone to-do list with alarm reminders and home screen widgets
  • Works for Android users who back their lists up to Google Drive

Who it is not for

  • Not for you if you want your tasks on a computer, as no web or desktop version is listed
  • Tight if you move between iPhone and Android, since sync between the two was still in the works in August 2025
  • Skip it if ads bug you, as the free version carries them
  • Watch out: the App Store lists several prices for each PRO purchase, and Google Play shows $0.99 to $52.99 an item
  • Tight if you're staying free, as advanced repeats, some themes and custom ringtones need PRO

Good to know

Good for

  • People who want a simple phone to-do list with alarm reminders
  • Users who like color themes and home screen widgets
  • Android users who back their lists up to Google Drive

Worth knowing

  • The vendor's page offers downloads only from Google Play and the App Store; no web or desktop version is listed.
  • The free version carries advertising, and advanced repeat settings, some themes and custom ringtones need PRO.
  • The US App Store lists several prices for the same PRO purchases, and Google Play shows $0.99 to $52.99 per item, so the price offered in the app can vary.
  • In an August 2025 App Store reply the developer said syncing task data between iOS and Android was still being worked on.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Your call

A to-do list at its plainest is tasks with dates, repeats and a box to tick.

You could make the core of Todoery for yourself: tasks and calendar. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. At $23.88 a year it costs less than the weekend it would take to replace, which is the argument for keeping it.

What you could make

  • Tasks and calendar: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • Hooks into the device itself: a Wear OS app, widgets and Siri.

What this rests on. Todoery’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
