Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.6
GPA, above 15 of the 19 other social media schedulers we grade
Zoho Social is Zoho's tool for scheduling posts, watching mentions and reporting on social accounts. Each plan covers a brand, meaning one account on each supported network: Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, Mastodon, Threads, Bluesky, Snapchat and Arattai, with WhatsApp and Telegram added on Premium. Agency plans manage 10 or 20 client brands from one account.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Zoho Social, taken from its own pages and our grades.
The free plan can't schedule anything, though.
- 1
Best for Zoho users posting to many networks
It fits best if you're already on Zoho CRM or Desk.
- 2
Paid plans start at $10 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $10 per month for 1 brand (14 channels), billed annually ($15 monthly).
- 3
There is a free plan
1 brand of 6 channels (X, Instagram, Facebook Page, LinkedIn profile and page, Google Business Profile) and 1 member. Posts go out at once; no scheduling.
- 4
It runs on 3 platforms
Web, iOS and Android, with a browser extension too.
- 5
Publishing calendar and queues
From Standard, see planned and published posts on one calendar and reschedule by dragging. Queues post into set time slots, and SmartQ on Premium picks times from audience activity.
- 6
Inbox
Direct messages from X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages start on Professional. Premium adds a full inbox with assignment rules, saved replies and WhatsApp and Telegram.
- 7
Listening dashboard
Columns track mentions, brand keywords and reviews across networks, with a live stream of new engagement. Monitoring starts on Professional.
- 8
A 2.6 GPA, above 15 of 19
That is against the other social media schedulers we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace Zoho Social you would be making one mailbox that several people work at once. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for Zoho users posting to many networks
Zoho Social is cheap for what it covers: one account on each of 14 networks for $10 a month billed yearly, and Premium adds WhatsApp, Telegram, a full inbox and approvals for three people at $40. It fits best if you're already on Zoho CRM or Desk. The free plan can't schedule anything, though.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | C | Premium is $40 a month billed yearly for one brand with 3 team members, the inbox and approvals; Professional plus a $10 member comes to the same $40. That's between this category's $29 middle and $58 dearer quarter. One person on Standard pays $10. |
| Free plan and trial | C | The free plan covers 1 brand of 6 channels but only posts straight away, with no scheduling or calendar. There's also a 15-day trial with no card, and that's what earns the C. |
| Features | B | A calendar and queues for 14 networks, monitoring, an inbox with assignment rules, custom reports, approvals, and leads and tickets sent to Zoho CRM and Desk. Nothing in the listing shows a gap in the core job; most of it sits on Premium. |
| Ease of use | B | 4.7 from 700 App Store ratings, which clears the bar for a B. An A needs 1,000 ratings or more behind it. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web, iPhone, Android and a browser extension, with Zoho CRM, Zoho Desk, Canva and Bitly. No desktop app, which an A needs, and the list of outside integrations is short. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Zoho Social is for
- Great if your business already runs on Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk
- Good for one person with an account on lots of networks, at $10 a month
- Handy when you post to WhatsApp and Telegram as well as social
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you want to schedule for free, as the free plan only posts right away
- Tight if you run two Instagram accounts, since each needs its own brand
- Not for you if you want the inbox and approvals cheaply, as they're Premium only
Good to know
Good for
- Small businesses with one account on each of many networks
- Teams already using Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk
- Agencies managing 10 to 20 client brands with a client portal
Worth knowing
- A brand holds one account per network, so two Instagram accounts need two brands; Professional can add up to 5 brands at $14.50 a month each.
- The free plan only publishes straight away; scheduling, drafts and the calendar start at Standard.
- Standard and Professional include 1 team member; extra members cost $10 a month each billed yearly, on Professional and Premium only.
- The full inbox, approvals, custom reports and the Zoho CRM and Desk links need Premium.

Zoho Social's GPA of 2.6 is higher than 15 of the 19 other social media schedulers we grade, and level with 3.
It stands best on ease of use (B, above 15 of 19) and worst on free plan and trial (C, above 1).

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace Zoho Social you would be making one mailbox that several people work at once. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.6 is higher than 15 of the 19 other social media schedulers we grade. It costs $120 a year.
What you could make
- Calendar and reports: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- One mailbox that several people work at once.
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. Zoho Social’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
