How we grade them
| 3.0GPAAmieVery good | 3.4GPANotion CalendarVery good | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | CPro is $20 a user a month billed annually, or $25 month to month. That's the dear end for a planner, even with meeting notes thrown in. CRM integrations and custom templates need Business at $40. | AThere's nothing to buy. Several accounts in one view, scheduling links and Notion databases are all free. Fantastical keeps its booking links for the $4.75 a month plan. |
| Free plan and trial | CThe pricing page shows only paid plans with a 7-day trial, and the listing doesn't say whether a card is needed. Amie's own comparison pages mention a free tier for calendar and todos, but the pricing page doesn't show one. | AThe whole app is free on every device, with no paid tier of its own. You do sign in with a Notion account, and Notion's free plan covers it. |
| Features | ABot-free recording on Zoom, Google Meet, Slack huddles and Teams with summaries and action items, a calendar you drag todos onto, AI scheduling, and a chat that drafts emails and schedules tasks. Planner and note-taker in one. | BOn a computer you get scheduling links, time zones side by side, busy slots blocked across calendars and a shortcut for everything. But there's no travel time, and the phone app does far less. |
| Ease of use | BThere's no App Store rating on record, so a B is as high as we go. It's an app you download and sign into, and recording a call needs no bot invited to the meeting. | B4.7 from about 7,600 App Store ratings, and reviewers like how calm it looks. But iCloud needs an app-specific password from Apple, and this year's reviews mention events vanishing on the phone. |
| Platforms and integrations | AMac, Windows and iPhone, with Google and Apple calendars, Gmail, Notion, Todoist, Slack, Linear and HubSpot, plus an MCP server for Claude or ChatGPT. No Android app is listed. | BWeb, Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, reading Google, iCloud and Outlook calendars. But there's no Linux app, Outlook calendars aren't on the phone apps yet, and the only API is a link that opens an event. |
| Best for | meeting notes, calendar and todos in one app | seeing Notion deadlines next to your meetings |

Key features
Amie
- Bot-free meeting notes
- Records calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Slack huddles and Microsoft Teams without a bot in the meeting, then produces a transcript, summary and action items.
- Calendar with todos
- Todos and calendar live in one app, and dragging a todo onto the calendar time-blocks it. Action items from calls sit alongside todos from tools such as Notion or Todoist.
- AI Scheduling
- Puts your schedule together automatically, keeping deadlines and placing the highest-priority items first.
- AI chat with actions
- Ask questions across your meeting notes, or have the chat draft emails, create and update meetings, rewrite summaries and schedule tasks.
- Exports to work tools
- Sends meeting notes to Pipedrive, Attio, Notion, Slack, HubSpot or Linear.
- MCP server
- Gives Claude or ChatGPT access to your meeting notes, calendar, emails and todos.
Notion Calendar
- Several calendar accounts in one view
- Connects Google Calendar, Apple iCloud and Microsoft Outlook calendars and can automatically block busy slots across them.
- Notion database items on the calendar
- Dated items from connected Notion databases appear next to events. Dragging one to a new time updates the Notion database.
- Availability and scheduling links
- Mark open times on the calendar and send them to others, or share a scheduling link that lets people book time with you.
- Command menu and shortcuts
- A command menu and keyboard shortcuts cover common actions; pressing ? in the app lists every shortcut.
- Time zone display
- Shows the day across several time zones, which helps when planning meetings with people in other regions.
- Conferencing links
- Creates Zoom meetings from an event, offers Google Meet by default on Google calendars and Microsoft Teams on Outlook calendars.
