Value for money
CNo price could be read: AnyDesk's website answered our reader with a bot check, and its help centre sends buyers to the pricing page. With no figure to set against TeamViewer or Splashtop for the same job, it gets the C we give any missing price. Personal use is free; work use needs a licence.
CStarter is $23 a month for 25 endpoints billed annually, with unlimited users, so one technician looking after a small office pays about what Splashtop charges and more than Zoho Assist for the same job. The catch: on-demand help isn't in Starter, and the first plan with it is Advanced at $63.
Free plan and trial
CFree for personal, non-commercial use, which covers reaching your own computers. But free sessions time out and have to be restarted, and any outgoing connection for work needs a paid licence. No trial is on record.
CA Free plan exists, as the trial falls back to it, but LogMeIn doesn't list its limits. The 14-day trial of Advanced needs no card, though it asks for a business email.
Features
CAttended and unattended access, remote printing, Wake-on-LAN, screen privacy, a management portal and an on-premises server with a REST API. The gaps it lists itself: Standard allows one outgoing connection at a time, and self-hosting is Ultimate only, quoted by sales.
CUnattended access, on-demand support, monitoring, Windows patching and built-in ticketing, with mobile device management on Complete. The gaps it lists itself: iPhones, iPads and Chromebooks are view-only, and Starter has no remote support licence.
Ease of use
B4.49 from 28,268 App Store ratings, which is a B on a crowd that size. The person at the other end accepts your request and you're connected.
CNo App Store rating on record. Monitoring, alerts, patch policies and ticketing are all things to set up, and every plan starts at 25 endpoints, so expect some learning before it pays off.
Platforms and integrations
BWindows, Mac, Linux and Raspberry Pi, ChromeOS, iPhone, iPad, Android and Apple TV. That's a lot of devices, but there's no web app or integration list, and the REST API comes only with the on-premises server.
BWeb, Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android, with Microsoft Teams and Active Directory, and Bitdefender and Acronis sold as add-ons. There's no Linux and no API on record, which keeps it at B.

Key features

AnyDesk

Interactive and unattended access
Connect to any number of devices when the person there accepts the request, or to managed devices without anyone present using a password: up to 100 on Solo and 1,000 on Advanced.
Wide platform coverage
Clients for Windows and Windows Server, macOS, Linux and Raspberry Pi, Android and ChromeOS, and iOS, iPadOS and tvOS.
Remote print and Wake-on-LAN
Print a document from a remote Windows computer on your local printer, and wake a sleeping Windows, Intel Mac or Linux device when another AnyDesk device on its network is online.
Screen privacy
Black out the remote screen so people near the device cannot see what you are doing during a session.
my.anydesk portal
A management portal to see licence and invoice details, manage linked clients and address books, review sessions and build custom clients.
On-premises server
The Ultimate licence can run on your own appliance server, so only your custom clients can connect, even without internet access, with a REST API for integration.

LogMeIn Resolve

Unattended remote access
Reach managed computers without anyone present, with file transfer, admin mode, session recording, in-session VoIP and several technicians in one session.
Instant remote support
Remote support agents can start clientless sessions on any computer: control of Windows and Mac and Android devices, and view-only on iOS and Chromebooks.
Monitoring and patching
Advanced adds performance monitoring, alerts, custom script alerts, remote execution and Windows updates; Complete adds application patching and policies.
Built-in ticketing
Incident management, an end-user portal, a Microsoft Teams integration, custom fields and a custom help desk domain, linked to remote support.
AI credits
Each endpoint brings one AI credit a month for features such as Dynamic Insights reports from plain-language prompts and the Virtual Technician.
Security add-ons
Optional endpoint protection powered by Bitdefender, backup and disaster recovery powered by Acronis, and camera share for support beyond the screen.
