Value for money
BGraded on 50,000 emails a month: Starter is $19 for exactly that, in the cheaper quarter of this category at that volume. But webhooks, which tell your app about bounces and complaints, and inbound email need Pro at $49.
CGraded on 50,000 emails a month: Essential is $40 at that volume, 10% less paid yearly, toward the dear end of this category. But the same plan covers campaigns too, with unlimited contacts and segments, and 50,000 is as far as Essential goes.
Free plan and trial
CFree for good, no card: 3,000 emails a month, capped at 100 a day, with the API, SMTP, designer and 3 days of logs. Fine for testing, but a busy day on a live app will hit the cap.
CFree for good, no card: 6,000 emails a month with the API, SMTP and webhooks, the most of any free plan here. But it's capped at 200 a day, and online support only lasts the first month.
Features
BAPI and SMTP with libraries in seven languages, drag-and-drop and AI template design, suppressions, verification, inbound email, webhooks, private IPs and reseller tools. It covers the whole job across its plans, though the developer bits sit on Pro.
BAPI and SMTP sending, a parse API for inbound email, webhooks, templates with variables, a campaign editor with MJML, validation and inbox previews, and automations on Premium. It covers the sending job and then some.
Ease of use
CJudged on how fast a developer sends a first email: libraries for most languages and an SMTP relay, once your domain is verified. No rating on record. With 3 days of logs on Free and Starter, chasing a failed email has to be quick.
CJudged on how fast a developer sends a first email: API keys and SMTP details come with the free plan, once your domain is set up. No rating on record. The campaign side adds an editor and lists to learn, if you use it.
Platforms and integrations
BWeb, with an API and SMTP, plus Zapier, WordPress, Cloudways, Lovable, Bolt, v0 and Replit. No desktop or phone app, so B is the top.
