GRC vs Rankinity (2026): which should you pick?
As of Oct 23, 2026, GRC and Rankinity share a 2.0 GPA, both have a free plan and their prices can't be set side by side, so the choice depends on whether you care more about value for money, where GRC grades higher, or features and platforms, where Rankinity does.

Rankinity
Pay-per-check rank tracker for Google, Google Maps, Bing and Yandex
Which one is for you
Pick GRC if
- Fits if you work in Japan and Yahoo rankings are the ones you report on
- Works for keeping ranking data on your own Windows PC rather than in a web service
Look elsewhere if
- Skip it if you need Google rankings, as GRC no longer checks them, and Bing was removed
- Not for you if you're on a Mac or want it in a browser, as it's Windows only
- Tight if your needs might grow, since a plan can't be changed once its key is issued, and upgrading by paying the difference isn't offered
- Watch out: each PC or Windows user account needs its own licence, and the site is in Japanese only
- Watch out: the free edition's item limit isn't stated, and yearly licences are paid by bank transfer
Pick Rankinity if
- Fits if you check rankings weekly or monthly and don't want a fixed plan
- Works for agencies wanting the service on their own domain and brand
Look elsewhere if
- Pricey if you check a big keyword list every day, as every check is billed
- Skip it if you want AI Overviews or SERP features tracked, as neither is on its pages
- Not for you if you want rankings piped into Looker Studio or Analytics without coding
- Tight if you stay free, as 300 checks a month is 10 keywords checked daily, at a slower speed
- Watch out: the only volume discount is above 30,000 checks a month, by contacting the company
How we grade them
| 2.0GPAGRCFair | 2.0GPARankinityFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | ABasic is ¥495 a month for 5 URLs and 500 keywords, tax included, or ¥4,950 a year. That's a fraction of what rank trackers usually charge, even counting that it now checks Yahoo only. | CIts own calculator puts 100 keywords checked 30 times a month at $25.11, pay as you go from a balance that never expires. That's in the middle of what rank trackers charge. Check weekly instead and it's far less; the only discount is above 30,000 checks a month. |
| Free plan and trial | CA free edition of the same program, with a lower limit on sites and keywords that a paid key raises. The pages read don't say what that limit is. | CA free version that never runs out, with no card and the same tracking, visibility and competitor tools, just slower checks. But 300 checks a month is 10 keywords checked daily, a cap you'll hit. |
| Features | DOne-click and scheduled checks, every past position with graphs and notes, competitor and top-site tracking, alerts and CSV export. But it now checks Yahoo only, after Google checks stopped and Bing was removed, so it can't do the job most people want a tracker for. | CGoogle desktop and mobile, Google Maps, Bing and Yandex by city, region or country, with schedules, a visibility score, competitors and reports. The gaps: nothing on SERP features or AI answers, and saving every results-page link is an add-on. |
| Ease of use | CNo rating on record. You install it, register sites and keywords and press go, but the site is in Japanese only, and each PC or Windows account needs its own licence. | CNo rating on record. You set up projects, places and check schedules, and since every check costs money, it pays to plan how often each keyword really needs one. |
| Platforms and integrations | DWindows only, with no web, Mac or phone version and no integrations. Standard and up can view another PC's GRC data remotely, but that's as far as it reaches. | CIt runs in the browser on desktop and phone as a web app, with no store app. There's an API, but no ready-made integrations are listed. |
| Best for | Yahoo rank checks on a Windows PC | paying only for the rank checks you actually run |

Worth knowing
GRC
- It now checks Yahoo only: its changelog says Google checks were stopped and Bing checks removed because those engines changed.
- It runs on Windows only, and each PC or Windows user account needs its own license.
- The site is in Japanese and prices are in yen; monthly licenses are paid by PayPal, yearly ones by bank transfer.
- A license plan cannot be changed after the key is issued, and upgrades by paying the difference are not offered.
Rankinity
- There are no fixed plans: each keyword check costs about $0.0084, so daily checks on large keyword lists add up quickly.
- The free version stops at 300 checks a month, which covers 10 keywords checked daily.
- The pricing page offers a volume discount only above 30,000 checks a month, by contacting the company.
- It is a progressive web app that runs in the browser on desktop and phone; there is no app-store app.

How this page was made
- The verdict at the top follows a fixed rule. When both tools are in the same category and either is in our top three for it, the verdict follows that ranking: the higher-placed tool is our pick. The top three weigh who each tool suits as well as its grades, so a pick can go against the GPA. Otherwise the page does not pick one and says which grades higher: the higher GPA first; on a tie, the one with a free plan, then the one that starts cheaper in dollars a month, counted the same way for both; if they are still level, what the choice depends on.
- The grades are our own, from each tool’s review or report card. The GPA is their average.
- Prices, plans and platforms come from each tool’s listing. The table above says where each price was read and when.
- The differences and the answers to the questions are worked out from those listings.
