Worth knowing

Macaly

  • The Free plan covers 1 published project on a macaly.app address, with no custom domain, code download or analytics.
  • Unused credits on Free and Pro expire at the end of each billing period; only Agency credits roll over, for up to 60 days.
  • Macaly's FAQ says it works only with Next.js and Convex and is not meant for native iOS or Android apps.
  • Canceling Pro takes a custom-domain site offline unless the account moves to the $5 Hosting plan.

Trickle

  • Free projects carry a Built with Trickle badge and cannot use a custom domain.
  • The Free plan is capped at 3 projects, 100 database rows and 70 credits a day, up to 350 a month.
  • The $17 and $42 prices are annual plans ($200 and $500 a year) shown per month; monthly billing is $20 and $50.
  • Exported code does not include database data or the AI functions tied to a project.

Key features

Macaly

Agent that builds full-stack projects
The agent plans, asks questions and builds websites and web apps from a prompt, on Next.js with a Convex database. Pro adds debugging and browser testing.
Several ways to start
A project can start from a screenshot or link, a Word, Excel or PDF file, or a YouTube video. Website tools turn a Google Maps listing, an Airbnb page or a PDF into a site.
Visual edits
Text, images and other elements can be changed by clicking them in the preview. These edits use no credits, except Ask AI, which shows its price before it runs.
Hosting, database and logins
Every plan includes hosting, a database and authentication. Sites publish to a macaly.app address, and Pro allows unlimited custom domains.
SEO audit and analytics
From Pro, an SEO audit runs after each publish with fixes the agent can apply, and cookieless analytics report page views, visitors, countries and UTM sources.
Chat apps and AI assistants
The agent can be reached over WhatsApp and Telegram, and the Macaly Cloud MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor write code that Macaly then builds and hosts.

Trickle

Magic Canvas
Projects sit on a visual canvas instead of a chat-and-preview layout. Rules, references and assets placed on it give the AI its context, and pages and versions are laid out side by side.
Direct Edit
Styles can be changed and elements moved by hand on generated pages, without writing a prompt or spending credits.
Built-in database
Form submissions and other content are stored in collections created by prompt, with no backend code. Row limits are 100 on Free, 1,000 on Pro and 10,000 on Premium.
Hosting and domains
Projects publish to a trickle.host address with hosting included. Custom domains need Pro, which allows 1, or Premium, which allows 3.
Image Mode and visual references
An AI workspace generates and edits images for a project, and a screenshot of a Figma design, a sketch or an existing page can be pasted in for Trickle to build from.
Integrations and code export
Help guides cover connecting Supabase and Stripe. Code files can be downloaded, though the export leaves out database data and a project's AI functions.
