Value for money
BPro is $1.99 a month or $19.99 a year, which is cheap. But it mostly buys you no ads, iCloud sync and extra icons and sounds, so it's not a lot for the money. Pro can be shared with your family through their Apple IDs.
BNo subscriptions, and the two Pro in-app purchases are $0.99 and $1.99, which is pocket change. So why not an A? Neither the App Store listing nor the vendor's page says what either one unlocks, so we can't tell you what the money buys.
Free plan and trial
AThe free version does the whole job: repeating reminders with sounds, colours and icons. You put up with ads, and each device runs separately with no sync. Plenty of people could stay here.
BFree to download with recurring reminders, the Home Screen widget and iCloud sync, though the App Store listing says the app contains advertising. Where free stops and Pro starts isn't spelled out, so we can't promise you'd stay free for good.
Features
BIt only does repeating reminders, and it does them fully. Pick a time, the weekdays, a sound, and an optional warning bell 5 minutes ahead. Mute one nudge or the lot for a day off. One limit: iOS holds at most 64 pending reminders for the app.
CIt does one narrow thing: a reminder with a name, a time and a repeat from hourly to yearly, sent as a plain notification. A widget shows what's coming up and iCloud keeps your devices in step. That's the lot. It's thin even next to other reminder apps, which add things like auto-snooze and timers.
Ease of use
BWe have no App Store rating on record, so a B is as high as we go. A nudge is a name, a time, some weekdays and a sound, so there's very little to learn. Siri can make one without opening the app.
A4.7 from about 1,400 App Store ratings. Setting a reminder is three steps: name it, pick how often it repeats, choose the time.
Platforms and integrations
CiPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision, with widgets and Siri. That's the Apple family and nothing else. There's no Android, Windows or web version.
DiPhone and iPad only, which is one operating system. The vendor links no Android version, iCloud is the only thing it connects to, and English is the only language on the App Store listing.

Who each one suits

Nudge

  • Chores and routines that repeat by weekday and never reach a calendar
  • Medication, pet care and school pickup times
  • People who want an alarm-style reminder set up in a few taps

Reminder Notifications

  • Recurring reminders for medication, bills and birthdays
  • People who want a notification, not a loud alarm
  • iPhone and iPad users looking for a reminder app with no subscription

Worth knowing

Nudge

  • Apple devices only: the App Store lists iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision, with no Android, Windows or web version.
  • The free version shows ads, and syncing nudges between devices through iCloud needs the Pro subscription.
  • Nudges are set by time and day of the week; the vendor says the app is not meant to replace a calendar for meetings and appointments.
  • The release notes say iOS holds at most 64 pending reminders for the app; it now warns when a schedule outgrows that limit.

Reminder Notifications

  • iPhone and iPad only. The App Store allows it on Apple silicon Macs as an iPad app marked not verified for macOS, and the vendor links no Android version.
  • The App Store listing says the app contains advertising.
  • Two Pro in-app purchases, $0.99 and $1.99, are listed without a billing basis or a description of what they unlock.
  • English is the only language on the App Store listing.

Key features

Nudge

Reminders that repeat by weekday
Each nudge has a time of day and repeats on any day or mix of days of the week, such as every day, weekdays only or weekends.
Sounds and a 5-minute warning
A nudge plays a sound picked from a built-in library, from short and subtle to loud, and an optional warning bell can ring 5 minutes ahead of it.
Names, colors and icons
Every nudge is given a name, a color and an icon so it can be recognized at a glance. Pro unlocks more icons and sounds.
Mute one nudge or all of them
A single nudge, or the whole schedule, can be muted for a day off without deleting any of the alarms.
Widgets and Siri
A Home Screen widget shows the day's schedule, Lock Screen widgets are also listed, and Siri can create a nudge without opening the app.
iCloud sync on Pro
Pro keeps nudges in step across iPhone, iPad and Mac through iCloud. The free version runs on each device separately.

Reminder Notifications

Recurring reminders
A reminder can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, and the version history adds an hourly option. It is set once and keeps recurring on that pattern.
Notifications instead of alarms
Reminders arrive as standard notifications at the chosen time. The vendor's page describes them as quiet, with no alarms and no noise.
Home Screen widget
A widget on the Home Screen lists upcoming reminders so they can be checked without opening the app.
iCloud sync
Version 1.2.7 added iCloud sync, which keeps the same reminders up to date across a person's devices.
Three-step setup
Creating a reminder takes three steps on the vendor's page: name it, pick how often it repeats, and choose the time.
