How we grade them
| 3.4GPAThrudayVery good | 3.4GPATiimoVery good | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | APremium is $50 a year on the US App Store, about $4.17 a month, which is half what a typical planner asks. It adds calendar sync, journaling, custom categories and advanced mood analytics. Paying monthly is $10, so the year is the one to pick. | BThe US App Store lists Pro purchases from $7.00 to $54.00 without showing which are monthly and which are yearly, and Tiimo publishes no price list. If the low figures are months, that's about typical for a planner. We can't call it better than that. |
| Free plan and trial | BVisual daily planning, priority to-do lists, reminders, thousands of images and colours, and breathing exercises are free, with no ads and no card. That's a good start. But calendar sync, journaling and custom categories are Premium, so your calendar stays outside unless you pay. | BFree on iPhone and Android, with the basic planner, to-do list, focus timer and 1 profile. But AI chats are limited, the web planner isn't included, and calendar integration is listed as Pro. The 7-day trial comes only with the yearly subscription. |
| Features | AA picture timeline, routines that come round by themselves, a to-do list with subtasks, a focus timer you can pause or extend, mood tracking on a traffic-light system and a private journal. Carers and family can be invited as assistants, and schedules can be printed. | AA drag-and-drop timeline with colours and icons, a to-do tab, a visual countdown timer, mood check-ins, and an AI Co-planner that breaks tasks into steps and guesses how long each takes. Calendars come in from Apple, Google and Outlook. The Co-planner isn't on Android, mind. |
| Ease of use | BNo App Store rating on record, so a B is our ceiling. The whole design is about reading the day at a glance, with an image and a colour on every activity. One niggle: Thruday's site doesn't publish Premium prices, so you find them in the app store. | B4.59 from about 20,600 App Store ratings, a whisker under our line for an A. You can type or just say what's on your mind and the Co-planner turns it into tasks, which is about as gentle a start as a planner gets. |
| Platforms and integrations | BiPhone, Android and a web app for when you're at a computer. No desktop apps are listed. Calendar sync comes with Premium, but no other integrations are on record. | AiPhone, Android, Mac, Apple Watch and a web planner, with Apple, Google and Outlook calendars brought in. No Windows app. The Mac version needs macOS 15 and an M1 chip or later, and the web planner needs Pro. |

Key features
Thruday
- Visual timeline
- The day is shown in time order with each activity given an image and color, so what is happening now and what comes next can be read at a glance.
- Routines and reminders
- Morning, evening, work or school routines recur automatically inside the daily schedule, with alerts and notifications for tasks, plans and appointments.
- To-do list
- Tasks are captured in a list with color-coded priorities, tags and subtasks, then reordered or added to the day when you are ready to plan them.
- Focus timer
- A focus session starts from a to-do, a planned activity or on its own, and can be paused, rewound or extended while the next activity stays in view.
- Mood tracking and journal
- Moods are logged through the day with a traffic-light system and reviewed for patterns over time. A private journal holds notes and brain dumps.
- Assistants for carers and family
- A parent, carer, partner or support worker can be invited to help plan routines and days, and daily schedules can be printed.
Tiimo
- Visual timeline
- The day appears as a color-coded timeline with drag-and-drop tasks and custom colors and icons. The web planner adds daily, weekly and monthly views.
- AI Co-planner
- Type or speak what is on your mind and the Co-planner turns it into tasks, breaks them into steps and estimates how long each takes. Free accounts get limited AI chats.
- To-do list
- A to-do tab collects tasks that are not yet scheduled. They can be prioritized by hand or by AI suggestion, then dragged into the day.
- Focus timer
- A visual countdown for the current task. Timers and upcoming tasks also show in widgets, Live Activities and on Apple Watch.
- Calendar import
- Brings Apple, Google and Outlook calendars into the schedule, and the App Store listing also mentions Apple Reminders. Tiimo lists calendar integration as a Pro feature.
- Mood tracking and profiles
- Mood check-ins and daily reflections sit alongside the plan. Pro accounts can hold up to five profiles, for example one per family member.
