  • Users who work on both Mac and Windows under one license
  • Multilingual writers who speak one language and need text in another

Wispr Flow

  • People who write a lot of email, chat and documents and prefer to speak

  • Students and educators, who get 50% off Pro with an education email

Worth knowing

Weesper Neon Flow

  • Free Lite is limited to 1,500 words a week and 60 seconds per dictation, and it locks the dictionary and snippets.
  • Prices are listed in euros only, and a plan is chosen inside the app after downloading rather than on the website.
  • Text appears only after the shortcut is released, and the vendor recommends segments of 30 to 60 seconds. File transcription is a separate Mac app, Weesper Transcribe.
  • There are no mobile or Linux apps, and Intel or AMD computers need a processor with AVX2 support.

Wispr Flow

  • Free dictation is capped at 2,000 words a week on desktop and 1,000 a week on mobile.
  • The Notetaker runs on Mac and Windows only; the vendor says mobile is on the roadmap.
  • SAML SSO and org-wide HIPAA enforcement need Growth, and SCIM and audit logs need Enterprise.
  • Unlimited Notetaker meetings are a paid extra on Growth: $26 per user / month instead of $18, billed annually. Pro has higher meeting limits, not unlimited.

Key features

Weesper Neon Flow

Hold, speak, release
Hold a configurable shortcut, speak, and release it; the text is inserted at the cursor in supported text fields in Gmail, Slack, Notion, Word and browsers. A toggle mode is also available.
On-device Whisper models
Recognition runs locally through whisper.cpp with no account. The default Small model is 512 MB, with Medium at 1.5 GB and Large at 3.2 GB, and it works offline once a model is installed.
Automatic cleanup
Punctuation and capitalization are applied to every dictation, and common filler words such as "uh" and "um" can be removed before the text is inserted.
50+ languages and translation
The spoken language is detected automatically among a main and secondary languages you set. You can also speak in one language and receive the text in another.
Writing Style presets
An Output Style preset shapes tone and structure, for example a literal or a more formal result. Custom slots take short instructions of your own, such as a professional field.
Custom dictionary and text shortcuts
Add names, brands and jargon with auto-correct rules, use trigger phrases to insert line breaks, and set up text shortcuts. Both lists can be exported to another computer. Locked on Free Lite.

Wispr Flow

Dictation in any app
Speech-to-text works wherever you can type, including Gmail, Slack, Notion, a terminal or a code editor, in 100+ languages with automatic language detection.
Automatic cleanup
Removes filler words, repetitions and mid-sentence corrections, then adds punctuation and formatting so the output reads like written text.
Personal dictionary
Learns unusual words and names automatically, and you can add your own. Paid plans add a dictionary shared across the team.
Snippets
Store text you type all the time, such as email replies, links, addresses and bios, and reuse it instead of dictating or typing it again.
Notetaker for meetings
On Mac and Windows, the Notetaker captures meetings and voice memos, identifies speakers and answers questions across meetings. Notes can be used in Claude and ChatGPT through MCP.
Security and admin controls
Wispr states SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and ISO 27001 certification. Growth adds SAML SSO and usage reporting; SCIM and audit logs are on Enterprise.
