Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.4

GPA, above 8 of the 14 other customer review tools we grade

Grade.us gets local businesses more reviews on Google, Facebook and industry sites, and is built largely for marketing agencies that resell review management under their own brand. It sends email and text review requests that lead to a review landing page, monitors review sites, shares good reviews to websites and social media, and produces branded reports. Plans are priced per location, and it is part of Traject.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Grade.us, taken from its own pages and our grades.

There's a fair bit to set up: campaigns, landing pages, integrations and reports, and the agency side adds client accounts and branding.

Value for moneyCSmall Business is $99 a month billed yearly ($124 monthly) for one location. Set against its listed rivals, the local review tools, that's the middle. More locations get cheaper, from $60 each down to $25 at 101+, which suits agencies and chains more than one shop.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan, but a 14-day trial for 3 seats with no credit card. Texting, the API and the white-label dashboard aren't in it unless sales turns them on, and there are no refunds afterwards.
FeaturesBThe whole local review job: review landing pages for hundreds of sites, email, text and MMS requests with follow-ups, monitoring with alerts, replies to Google and Facebook, review streams with schema, social sharing and branded reports. Agencies get reseller tools on top.
Ease of useCNo store rating on record. There's a fair bit to set up: campaigns, landing pages, integrations and reports, and the agency side adds client accounts and branding. Built for marketers more than shop owners.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, with Google Business Profile, Facebook, Salesforce, HubSpot, QuickBooks Online, Mailchimp, Constant Contact and Zapier, plus an API. No phone or desktop app is listed.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

The plain part of Grade.us you could make: review collection and reports. What surrounds it you could not. The 3 things listed below take a company, not a weekend.

It costs $1,188 a year.

What you could make

  • Review collection and reports: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • It plugs into other products, Google Business Profile, Facebook and Salesforce among them, and has an API.
  • Hooks into the device itself: widgets.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Grade.us’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
