Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.6

GPA, above 13 of the 20 other cold outreach tools we grade

Klenty is a sales engagement platform that runs cadences of personalized emails and, on its higher plans, calls, SMS and social selling steps. The Starter plan covers email only and is priced by monthly contacts for unlimited users and mailboxes. Growth and Plus are priced per user and add a dialer with AI voicemail detection, two-way CRM sync, account-based selling and AI call coaching.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Klenty, taken from its own pages and our grades.

Anything beyond email means a per-user plan bought through a sales demo, and there's no monthly billing.
From our report card of Klenty

  7. 7

The report card

Best for SDR teams mixing cold email with calls

Klenty runs sales cadences, and on its higher plans those mix emails with calls, texts and social steps, backed by a dialer that skips voicemails. Email on its own is cheap for a team, since Starter has no per-person charge. Anything beyond email means a per-user plan bought through a sales demo, and there's no monthly billing.

SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyAFor email, five people share Starter, which has unlimited users: $50 a month billed annually for 15,000 contacts, $10 a head, well under the cheaper quarter's $32.50. Calls, SMS and CRM sync are another story: Growth is $70 per user billed annually.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan, but a 14-day trial with every feature. It caps sending at 200 emails, and an account that doesn't upgrade when it ends is switched off.
FeaturesCEmail cadences with A/B tests, Liquid templates and approve-before-send, and from Growth a dialer, SMS and social selling steps with two-way CRM sync. The gaps: Starter is email only, and nothing on record shows LinkedIn messages sending themselves.
Ease of useCNo App Store rating on record. Cadences, mailboxes and CRM field mapping all need setting up, and the plans with calling are bought through a sales demo.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb only, with Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics and Zapier, and a public API. Two-way CRM sync needs Growth. No phone or desktop app on record.
Grade point averageGood, out of 4.02.6

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Klenty is for

  • Great if your SDRs cold call and email the same accounts
  • Handy when a whole email team shares Starter for one flat fee
  • Good for teams that run outreach from Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you want to pay month to month, as billing is annual or quarterly only
  • Pricey if you need calls or CRM sync, at $70 a user a month billed annually
  • Not for you if LinkedIn messages are central, as none are shown sending themselves

Good to know

Good for

  • SDR teams that mix cold email with cold calling
  • Teams that run outreach from Salesforce, HubSpot or Pipedrive
  • Email-only teams that want unlimited users on one flat fee

Worth knowing

  • There is no monthly billing: plans are paid annually or, for about 20% more, quarterly.
  • Growth and Plus are bought through a sales demo, and parallel and power dialing are a $45 per user a month add-on.
  • The trial caps sending at 200 emails, and accounts that do not upgrade when it ends are deactivated.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Klenty you would be making newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $600 a year.

What you could not

  • Newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox.
  • It plugs into other products, Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive among them, and has an API.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • People on the other end: coaches. No app builder makes those.

What this rests on. Klenty’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
