Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.6
GPA, above 48 of the 123 other to-do list apps we grade
Listberry is a phone planner from Oatmeal Apps that gives each day on its calendar its own to-do list. Tasks are crossed out in the manner of a paper planner and stay visible afterward, and they can carry alerts, repeats, bold text and highlighter colors. No account is needed and entries are stored on the device. The standard version is free, and a Premium subscription lifts its limits on daily tasks and PDF exports.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Listberry, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Lists stay on the one phone with no sync, there's no web or desktop app, and the App Store version is iPhone only.

The report card
Best for a paper-style to-do list for each day
Listberry gives every day its own to-do list that you cross out by hand, and the crossed-out tasks stay so you can look back. The free version stops at 12 tasks a day and 3 PDF exports, and carrying unfinished tasks over is Premium at $0.99 a month. Lists stay on the one phone with no sync, there's no web or desktop app, and the App Store version is iPhone only.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | A | Premium is $0.99 a month, under the $1.45 that marks the bottom of this category's prices and the $3.99 middle. The yearly plan is $11.99, a few cents more than twelve monthly payments, so pay monthly. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No ads and the core planner, but capped at 12 tasks a day and 3 PDF exports, and carrying unfinished tasks to tomorrow is Premium. In a day planner that last one bites daily: whatever you didn't finish, you retype. |
| Features | C | The basics of a paper planner: a list per day on a calendar, alerts, repeats, bold text, highlighter colours and a PDF export. The listing's gap is a wide one, though. There's no account and no cloud, so nothing syncs anywhere, and no lists or projects across days. |
| Ease of use | B | 4.76 on the App Store, though from only 302 ratings, which is too few for a top mark. There's no account to create: open it, pick a day, write the list, cross it out. Anyone off a paper planner knows this already. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | Phones only, iPhone and Android, with no web or desktop app and no integrations listed. Entries sit on the device, so even your own two phones won't show the same list. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who Listberry is for
- Fits if you're moving off a paper planner and want a list per day on your phone
- Works for people who don't want an account or their lists kept in the cloud
Who it is not for
- Skip it if you need your list on a laptop or a second phone, because nothing syncs
- Tight if you're staying free, with 12 tasks a day, 3 PDF exports and no carry-over of unfinished tasks
- Too light for shared lists or projects, since there's no account and no lists across days
- Watch out: manual reordering, night mode and weekly and monthly goals are Premium too
- Watch out: the yearly plan, at $11.99, costs slightly more than twelve monthly payments
Good to know
Good for
- People moving from a paper planner to a phone
- Day-by-day to-do lists kept beside appointments
- Users who want no account and entries kept on the device
Worth knowing
- The free version stops at 12 tasks per day and 3 PDF exports.
- Manual reordering, night mode, weekly and monthly goals and automatic carry-over of unfinished tasks are Premium features.
- Entries stay on the device with no account, and the vendor says no data is kept in the cloud, so lists do not sync between devices.
- The App Store version is for iPhone only, and the vendor's page links to the App Store and Google Play but to no web or desktop app.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Your call
A to-do list at its plainest is tasks with dates, repeats and a box to tick.
You could make the core of Listberry for yourself: tasks and calendar. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. At $11.88 a year it costs less than the weekend it would take to replace, which is the argument for keeping it.
What you could make
- Tasks and calendar: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
