GPA, above 4 of the 48 other CRM tools we grade
NetHunt CRM is a sales CRM that runs inside Gmail through a browser extension, as well as in its own web and mobile apps. Emails are linked to contacts, companies and deals, and pipelines, tasks, email campaigns and messenger chats sit alongside the inbox. It is priced per user across four published plans, with workflow automation, sequences and API access starting on the Business plan.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about NetHunt CRM, taken from its own pages and our grades.
There's no free plan, the workspace locks after the trial, and unused time isn't refunded.

The report card
Best for sales teams that live in Gmail
NetHunt puts a CRM inside Gmail, with pipelines, email campaigns, web forms and chats from WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. Basic is $24 a user, but mass email needs Basic Plus at $34, and automation, sequences, reports and the API wait for Business at $60. There's no free plan, the workspace locks after the trial, and unused time isn't refunded.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | D | Basic is $24 a user a month on yearly billing, bang on the middle for CRMs here. The trouble is where the rest lives: mass email on Basic Plus at $34, and sales automation, sequences, activity reports and API access not until Business at $60, which is more than twice that middle. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan. The 14-day trial has nearly every feature and no limit on invited users, and our listing doesn't say whether it asks for a card. When it ends the workspace is locked until you pick a plan. |
| Features | B | Records beside your inbox, emails logged against contacts and deals, multiple pipelines on every plan, workflows, mass email, multi-channel sequences, web forms and chats from WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. It covers the sales job, with the plan you're on deciding how much of it you see. |
| Ease of use | C | No rating on record, and it's still a CRM to set up: pipelines, fields, messenger accounts and a Gmail extension to install. It works inside Gmail, so a record can be made from an email in one click. |
| Platforms and integrations | B | Web, iPhone, Android and a browser extension for Gmail, but no desktop app. It connects to Google Workspace, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Slack, Apollo and Zapier, and every plan has an MCP server. API access starts on Business. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who it is not for
- Pricey if you need automation, sequences or reports, which start on Business at $60 a user
- Skip it if you want a free plan, as the workspace locks after the 14-day trial
- Not for you if you might want money back, since NetHunt doesn't refund unused subscription time
- Tight if you're on Basic: mass email needs Basic Plus at $34, and Basic has 1 messenger account
- Watch out: annual prices for the Business plans are by quote, and workflow actions past the limit are sold as add-on packs

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace NetHunt CRM you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 30 of the 48 other CRM tools grade higher. It costs $288 a year.
What you could make
- Sales pipeline, forms and reports: an app builder makes these well.
What you could not
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- Email sent in volume that still reaches the inbox.
- A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
- It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
- The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.
What this rests on. NetHunt CRM’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
