Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.6

GPA, above 35 of the 48 other CRM tools we grade

Salesmate is a CRM that covers deal pipelines, email sync and sequences, marketing campaigns, ticketing and a meeting scheduler in one product. Automations called Smart flows run on a monthly credit allowance that grows with each plan, and built-in calling and texting are sold as an add-on. It is priced per user in three plans plus a custom Enterprise tier, with a 15-day trial instead of a free plan.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Salesmate, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for sales, marketing and support in one CRM

Salesmate puts deal pipelines, email sequences, marketing campaigns, support tickets and a meeting scheduler in one CRM, with calling and texting inside it.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $23 a month for each person

As its pricing page puts it: $23 per user / month, billed annually ($29 billed monthly).

  3. 3

    You can try it first

15-day free trial with all features and unlimited users, no credit card required

  4. 4

    It runs on 3 platforms

Web, iOS and Android, with a browser extension too.

  5. 5

    Deal pipelines and contacts

Contacts, companies, deals, activities and conversations are managed in one place, with deal pipeline management and custom fields on every plan.

  6. 6

    Email sync, templates and sequences

Full email sync with templates and tracking is in Basic. Automated multi-step sequences and a shared team inbox start on Pro.

  7. 7

    Smart flows automation

Sales and marketing automations run as Smart flows on a monthly credit allowance: 5K per user on Basic, 10K on Pro and 15K on Business, with extra credits sold as an add-on.

  8. 8

    A 2.6 GPA, above 35 of 48

That is against the other CRM tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  9. 9

    Keep it

To replace Salesmate you would be making email sent in volume that still reaches the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card

Best for sales, marketing and support in one CRM

Salesmate puts deal pipelines, email sequences, marketing campaigns, support tickets and a meeting scheduler in one CRM, with calling and texting inside it. Basic is $23 a user on yearly billing. But sequences and ticketing wait for Pro at $39, automations spend a monthly credit allowance, calling, texting and AI agent credits are billed on top, and fees aren't refunded.

ToolGPA report cardSalesmateGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCBasic is $23 a user a month on yearly billing, bang in the middle for a paid CRM here, with full email sync, a scheduler and web forms in it. Sequences, ticketing and the AI assistant wait for Pro at $39, and calling, texting and extra automation credits all cost more again.
Free plan and trialCNo free plan. The 15-day trial does have every feature, takes as many teammates as you like and doesn't ask for a card. Fees are non-refundable once you're paying, including unused time.
FeaturesBPipelines, email sync and tracking, sequences, automations called Smart flows, quotes, a ticket desk, a shared inbox and built-in calling with a power dialer. Sales, marketing and support covered, with a good chunk of it starting on Pro or Business and calling sold as an add-on.
Ease of useB4.69 from about 630 App Store ratings, from a modest crowd. One thing to get your head around early: automations spend credits, 5,000 per user a month on Basic, so there's a meter running.
Platforms and integrationsBWeb, iPhone, Android and a browser extension, with no desktop app. It connects to Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Slack, Mailchimp, DocuSign and Zapier, and there's an API.
Grade point averageGood, out of 4.02.6

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Salesmate is for

  • Fits if you want sales, marketing and support in one CRM and not three tools
  • Works for teams that call and text prospects and want it all logged in the CRM

Who it is not for

  • Skip it if you want a free plan, since you'll need a paid one after 15 days
  • Pricey if you lean on calling, texting or AI agents, billed on top, and the power dialer needs Business at $63
  • Tight if you're on Basic and want sequences, ticketing or a shared inbox, which start on Pro at $39
  • Watch out: automations spend credits, 5,000 per user a month on Basic, and extra credits cost more
  • Not for you if you might want money back, as all fees are non-refundable, including unused time

Good to know

Good for

  • Small and mid-sized teams that want sales, marketing and support in one CRM
  • Sales teams that call and text prospects from inside the CRM
  • Teams that want to try every feature with colleagues before paying

Worth knowing

  • There is no free plan; a paid plan is needed after the 15-day trial.
  • Sequences, ticketing, team inbox, SSO and Sandy AI are not in Basic, and the power dialer needs Business.
  • Calling, texting, extra Smart flow credits and AI agent credits cost extra on top of the per-user price.
  • Salesmate states that all fees are non-refundable, including unused parts of a billing period.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Salesmate you would be making email sent in volume that still reaches the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It is one of the better ones too: its GPA of 2.6 is higher than 35 of the 48 other CRM tools we grade. It costs $276 a year.

What you could make

  • Sales pipeline and forms: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • Email sent in volume that still reaches the inbox.
  • Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
  • Booking pages that read and write other people's calendars and send the emails.
  • A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.
  • It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. Salesmate’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
