Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.2

GPA, above 5 of the 20 other cold outreach tools we grade

Yesware adds sales tools to Gmail, through a Chrome extension, and to Outlook, through an add-in: email, link and attachment tracking, templates, a meeting scheduler and multi-touch campaigns of emails, calls and LinkedIn steps. Campaign emails go out from your own mail server and recipients are removed when they reply or book a meeting. Yesware is now part of Vendasta.

To get you started, here are 8 things to know about Yesware, taken from its own pages and our grades.

  1. 1

Best for email tracking with simple campaigns on top

Campaigns drop people when they reply or book.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $15 a month for each person

As its pricing page puts it: $15 per seat / month, billed annually ($19 billed monthly).

  3. 3

    There is a free plan

Basic open and attachment tracking for emails sent in the last 24 hours, 10 campaign recipients a month, a meeting scheduler with 2 event types and email support.

  4. 4

    Email and attachment tracking

See opens, link clicks and attachment views for each email in an activity feed and sidebar. The free plan only tracks emails sent in the last 24 hours.

  5. 5

    Multi-touch campaigns

Mix automated and manual emails, call reminders, LinkedIn InMails and custom touches on a set cadence, with recipients removed when they reply or book.

  6. 6

    Meeting scheduler

Add booking links to emails from Google or Office 365 calendars, with event types, buffer times, pre-meeting questions and a Zoom link.

  7. 7

    A 2.2 GPA, above 5 of 20

That is against the other cold outreach tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

  8. 8

    Keep it

To replace Yesware you would be making newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card

Best for email tracking with simple campaigns on top

Yesware is mainly about knowing when your emails get opened, in Gmail or Outlook, with templates, a meeting scheduler and multi-touch campaigns on top. Campaigns drop people when they reply or book. But the cheap plan allows 20 campaign recipients a month, so outreach really starts at Premium.

ToolGPA report cardYeswareGraded Oct 17, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyCPro's 20 campaign recipients a month won't do for outreach, so five people need Premium: $35 a seat billed annually, $35 a head. That's just above the cheaper quarter's $32.50. Salesforce sync needs Enterprise at $65 a seat.
Free plan and trialCThere's a free plan, but it tracks only emails sent in the last 24 hours and allows 10 campaign recipients a month. The 14-day trial needs no card.
FeaturesCTracking of opens, links and attachments, templates, a scheduler, and campaigns mixing emails, call reminders and LinkedIn InMails that stop on a reply or booking. A smaller job than cold outreach at volume: it sends from your own mailbox, and full campaigns start at Premium.
Ease of useBNo App Store rating on record, but it's an add-on to the Gmail or Outlook you already use, so tracking starts on your next email with nothing to build first.
Platforms and integrationsCGmail in Chrome, or Outlook 2016 and later and Outlook on the web, and Yesware says there's no mobile app. Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Zoom, Teams, RingCentral and DocSend connect to it.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.2

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Yesware is for

  • Great if you want to know when an email gets opened
  • Handy when your team is split between Gmail and Outlook
  • Good for Salesforce teams that want email logged automatically, on Enterprise

Who it is not for

  • Too light for cold outreach on Pro, which allows 20 campaign recipients a month
  • Skip it if you want to work from your phone, as there's no mobile app
  • Pricey if you need Salesforce sync, which is Enterprise at $65 a seat billed annually

Good to know

Good for

  • Salespeople who want to know when an email is opened
  • Teams split between Gmail and Outlook
  • Salesforce teams that want email activity logged automatically

Worth knowing

  • Pro allows only 20 campaign recipients a month; unlimited campaigns start at Premium, $35 per seat a month billed annually.
  • Salesforce sync, the Salesforce sidebar and single sign-on are limited to Enterprise.
  • Prospector contact data is an add-on: 600 credits a year for $37.50 a month billed annually. Cancelling gives no refund for unused time.

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Keep it

To replace Yesware you would be making newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 10 of the 20 other cold outreach tools grade higher. It costs $180 a year.

What you could make

  • Templates and reports: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • Newsletters sent to thousands of people that still reach the inbox.
  • Booking pages that read and write other people's calendars and send the emails.
  • It is priced for each person, which means accounts and billing for a team.
  • It plugs into other products, Gmail, Outlook and Salesforce among them.

What this rests on. Yesware’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
