How we grade them
| 2.2GPAMixmaxFair | 2.2GPAYeswareFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | CFive reps each adding about 500 people a month pay $49 a user billed yearly, $49 a head. That's above the category's $40 middle and below the dearer quarter, and recipients can't be pooled across the team. Lighter users can sit at $29 for 100. | CPro's 20 campaign recipients a month won't do for outreach, so five people need Premium: $35 a seat billed annually, $35 a head. That's just above the cheaper quarter's $32.50. Salesforce sync needs Enterprise at $65 a seat. |
| Free plan and trial | CThere's a free plan, but 50 sequence recipients and 20 tracked emails a month, with a Mixmax signature, is a taste. The 14-day trial at 1,500 recipients needs no card. | CThere's a free plan, but it tracks only emails sent in the last 24 hours and allows 10 campaign recipients a month. The 14-day trial needs no card. |
| Features | CSequences of emails, calls, tasks and LinkedIn steps that stop on a reply or a booking, plus tracking, booking pages and CRM logging. A smaller job than cold outreach at volume, though: it sends from your one Gmail account, with recipients capped per member. | CTracking of opens, links and attachments, templates, a scheduler, and campaigns mixing emails, call reminders and LinkedIn InMails that stop on a reply or booking. A smaller job than cold outreach at volume: it sends from your own mailbox, and full campaigns start at Premium. |
| Ease of use | BNo App Store rating on record, but it sits inside the Gmail you already use, signs in with Google and adds its buttons to the compose window. Little to set up before the first sequence. | BNo App Store rating on record, but it's an add-on to the Gmail or Outlook you already use, so tracking starts on your next email with nothing to build first. |
| Platforms and integrations | CIt runs inside Gmail through a Chrome extension, so it's computers only, with a web dashboard for reports. Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Zapier, Sales Navigator, Dialpad and Gong connect, and there's an API. | CGmail in Chrome, or Outlook 2016 and later and Outlook on the web, and Yesware says there's no mobile app. Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Zoom, Teams, RingCentral and DocSend connect to it. |
| Best for | follow-up sequences and booking inside Gmail | email tracking with simple campaigns on top |
