A solo sender who wants follow-ups needs Premium at $29 an account billed annually. | CFive reps each adding about 500 people a month pay $49 a user billed yearly, $49 a head. That's above the category's $40 middle and below the dearer quarter, and recipients can't be pooled across the team. Lighter users can sit at $29 for 100. |
| Free plan and trial | CNo free plan. The 7-day trial needs no card but is capped at 50 emails a day, enough to check it works in your Gmail. | CThere's a free plan, but 50 sequence recipients and 20 tracked emails a month, with a Mixmax signature, is a taste. The 14-day trial at 1,500 recipients needs no card. |
| Features | CThe email job done fully from Gmail: unlimited emails and contacts, mail merge from Sheets, follow-ups that stop on a reply, A/B tests, inbox rotation and SMTP for big sends. It's a smaller job, though: no LinkedIn steps, and Standard has no follow-ups. | CSequences of emails, calls, tasks and LinkedIn steps that stop on a reply or a booking, plus tracking, booking pages and CRM logging. A smaller job than cold outreach at volume, though: it sends from your one Gmail account, with recipients capped per member. |
| Ease of use | BNo App Store rating on record, but it lives inside the Gmail you already use: write an email, pick a list or a Sheet and press the GMass button. Very little to learn. | BNo App Store rating on record, but it sits inside the Gmail you already use, signs in with Google and adds its buttons to the compose window. Google Sheets and Zapier connect, and there's an API from Premium. | CIt runs inside Gmail through a Chrome extension, so it's computers only, with a web dashboard for reports. Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Zapier, Sales Navigator, Dialpad and Gong connect, and there's an API. |

Worth knowing
GMass
- Needs a Gmail or Google Workspace account and the Chrome browser; campaigns are written and sent from inside Gmail.
- Each subscription covers one Gmail account, and the Standard plan has no automatic follow-ups.
- Inbox rotation needs Professional or a Team plan; sending through GMass's own SMTP service costs $5 per 10,000 messages.
- Gmail's own daily sending limits still apply to anything sent through the Gmail account itself.
Mixmax
- Runs inside Gmail through a Chrome extension and signs in with Google; reports and settings sit in a web dashboard.
- Recipients are bought per member and cannot be pooled or rolled over; a contact in two sequences counts twice.
- Custom branding and domains, workspace-wide rules and Salesforce Insights cost $9 per member a month each billed yearly ($12 monthly).
- The Dialer for calls and texts is $9 per member a month plus per-minute calling rates.
Key features
GMass
- Campaigns from the Gmail compose window
- Write a campaign as an ordinary Gmail message, address it to a list, label or Google Sheet, and send it with the GMass button from your own account.
- Automatic follow-ups
- Unlimited follow-up stages that stop when a contact replies, clicks or opens, sent in the same thread or as new ones. Needs Premium or above.
- Google Sheets campaigns
- Merge fields come from a Google Sheet, GMass picks up edits made before a scheduled send, and new rows can be emailed automatically.
- Inbox rotation and SMTP
- MultiSend spreads one campaign across several mailboxes on Professional and Team, and an SMTP server can carry sends larger than Gmail allows.
- Reports in Gmail, the dashboard and the web
- Opens, clicks, replies, bounces and blocks arrive as Gmail reports, in the dashboard and as shareable web reports, with an AI Deep Analysis of the results.
- AI writing and SpinMax
- AI can draft a full campaign with its follow-ups, and SpinMax varies the wording of every email in a campaign automatically.
Mixmax
- Sequences from Gmail
- Emails, calls, tasks and LinkedIn steps sent on a schedule from your Gmail account, in the same thread, stopping on a reply, a booking or a poll answer.
- Email tracking

- One-click scheduling
- Booking pages and available times placed inside an email, meeting reminders, round robin and booking for teammates on paid plans.
- AI in the inbox
- AI Compose, Smart Send, Signals and inbox categorization, plus an AI note taker for calls, on paid plans.
- Run it from Claude or ChatGPT
- Mixmax connects to Claude and ChatGPT, so sequences can be built and outreach checked by asking the AI assistant.
