Value for money
BFive people on the Team plan pay $145 a month billed annually for every feature, $29 a head, or $175 billed monthly. That's inside the cheaper quarter's $32.50. A solo sender who wants follow-ups needs Premium at $29 an account billed annually.
CStarter's 1,500 sends and one address per person won't carry a sales team, so five people need Email Outreach: $45 a user billed yearly, $45 a head. That's above the category's $40 middle, while most email rivals here charge one price for the whole team.
Free plan and trial
CNo free plan. The 7-day trial needs no card but is capped at 50 emails a day, enough to check it works in your Gmail.
FNothing free. There's no free plan and no trial, and Mailshake says it takes payment up front. You can cancel before renewal, but that isn't a trial.
Features
CThe email job done fully from Gmail: unlimited emails and contacts, mail merge from Sheets, follow-ups that stop on a reply, A/B tests, inbox rotation and SMTP for big sends. It's a smaller job, though: no LinkedIn steps, and Standard has no follow-ups.
CEmail sequences with follow-ups, A/B tests, spintax, warm-up and unlimited verification, plus a power dialer on Sales Engagement. The gaps: no LinkedIn steps on record, and rotation and the unified inbox need Email Outreach.
Ease of use
BNo App Store rating on record, but it lives inside the Gmail you already use: write an email, pick a list or a Sheet and press the GMass button. Very little to learn.
CNo App Store rating on record. Quick enough to start, since it sends from Gmail, Office 365 or any SMTP mailbox and the AI writer drafts copy, but you still connect accounts and set up your domain.
Platforms and integrations
CIt needs Gmail or Google Workspace and the Chrome browser, so it's a computer-only tool. Google Sheets and Zapier connect, and there's an API from Premium.
BWeb and a browser extension, with Salesforce, Pipedrive, HubSpot and Zapier on Email Outreach and above. No phone or desktop app on record.

Mailshake

  • There is no free trial or free plan: Mailshake takes payment up front.
  • Starter connects 1 email address and stops at 1,500 sends a month; rotation, the unified inbox and CRM integrations need Email Outreach.

Automatic follow-ups
Unlimited follow-up stages that stop when a contact replies, clicks or opens, sent in the same thread or as new ones. Needs Premium or above.
