How we grade them

3.0GPABeeDoneVery good3.4GPAFinchVery good
Value for money
BPro Player is $8 a month on the website, which is bang on typical for a planner, or Legend is $120 once. Oddly, the US App Store description quotes $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year, so check both before you pay.
BFinch Plus is listed on the App Store from $5.99 to $69.99 with no billing periods shown, so we can't say what a month really costs. The lowest price is about typical for habit trackers. Plus adds extras like more prompts and timer options, not essentials.
Free plan and trial
BNovice is free with tasks, habits and routines, and no card is needed to start. But it's 3 active habits and basic gamification only. The AI coach and the full feature set are under Pro Player.
AThe core is free: caring for the bird and its adventures, personal goals, reflections, good vibes to friends and seasonal events. Most people could stay here and never pay.
Features
BXP, levels and badges for finished tasks, an AI coach, an app blocker tied to your daily goal, a focus timer, a task splitter, habits and routines. Plenty of motivation tricks. But its pages list no calendar sync or any other integration.
ADaily goals tied to a virtual pet, guided reflections, mood check-ins with trends, and insights that pull together mood, journal tags and goals. Breathing exercises, soundscapes and a focus timer are built in too. That's a lot more than a tick list.
Ease of use
BWe have no App Store rating on record for it, so a B is as high as we go. The blocker resets each morning with no setup, and Task Roulette picks a task for you when you can't decide where to start.
A4.9 from about 760,000 App Store ratings, which is enormous. New users start with a few suggested goals, so there's nothing to set up before you begin.
Platforms and integrations
BWeb, Mac, iPhone and Android, which covers most people. But there's no Windows app, and its pages list no integrations or API, so it stands apart from your other tools.
CiPhone and Android only. The vendor lists no web or desktop version, and there are no integrations on record.
