Gyro-n SEO
Japanese rank tracker for Google, Yahoo! JAPAN and AI Overviews
Which one is for you
Pick GRC if
- Fits if you work in Japan and Yahoo rankings are the ones you report on
- Works for keeping ranking data on your own Windows PC rather than in a web service
Look elsewhere if
- Skip it if you need Google rankings, as GRC no longer checks them, and Bing was removed
- Not for you if you're on a Mac or want it in a browser, as it's Windows only
- Tight if your needs might grow, since a plan can't be changed once its key is issued, and upgrading by paying the difference isn't offered
- Watch out: each PC or Windows user account needs its own licence, and the site is in Japanese only
- Watch out: the free edition's item limit isn't stated, and yearly licences are paid by bank transfer
Pick Gyro-n SEO if
- Fits if you report on Google and Yahoo! JAPAN rankings for a Japanese site
- Makes sense if you track a handful of Japanese keywords and want to know whether AI Overviews cite you
Look elsewhere if
- Not for you if you can't read Japanese, as the pages are in Japanese only and prices are in yen before tax
- Skip it if you need Google positions past 30th place, which it no longer measures
- Tight if you stay on Starter: 10 keywords, 1 site and no CSV export, and changing plan ends the free 3 months
- Pricey if you add Maps or Local Pack tracking, at ¥1,000 a month per store for the MEO option on top of a plan
- Watch out: extra keywords are ¥1,000 a month per 30, and extra sites and competitors ¥1,000 a month each
How we grade them
| 2.0GPAGRCFair | 2.0GPAGyro-n SEOFair | |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | ABasic is ¥495 a month for 5 URLs and 500 keywords, tax included, or ¥4,950 a year. That's a fraction of what rank trackers usually charge, even counting that it now checks Yahoo only. | CStarter is ¥500 a month before tax, a few dollars, but for 10 keywords and 1 site with no CSV export. 40 keywords and export take Lite at ¥4,500, roughly this category's dearer quarter ($29), and 300 keywords are ¥16,800. |
| Free plan and trial | CA free edition of the same program, with a lower limit on sites and keywords that a paid key raises. The pages read don't say what that limit is. | CStarter is free for the first 3 months, and a card is only needed to carry on after that. It's 10 keywords on 1 site, though, and changing plan or adding an option ends the free period. |
| Features | DOne-click and scheduled checks, every past position with graphs and notes, competitor and top-site tracking, alerts and CSV export. But it now checks Yahoo only, after Google checks stopped and Bing was removed, so it can't do the job most people want a tracker for. | CDaily Google, Google smartphone and Yahoo! JAPAN checks, 18 months of saved results pages, AI Overview citations, competitor graphs and page analysis. The gaps: Google is only measured to 30th place, and Local Pack and Maps need the paid MEO store option. |
| Ease of use | CNo rating on record. You install it, register sites and keywords and press go, but the site is in Japanese only, and each PC or Windows account needs its own licence. | CNo rating on record. Nothing to install and results are in by 8 a.m. daily, but the pages are in Japanese only and you set up sites, keywords and competitors first. |
| Platforms and integrations | DWindows only, with no web, Mac or phone version and no integrations. Standard and up can view another PC's GRC data remotely, but that's as far as it reaches. | CWeb only, with no desktop or phone app and no API on record. The two links listed are a Google Ads check from Lite and Business Profile data through the paid MEO store option. |
| Best for | Yahoo rank checks on a Windows PC | Google and Yahoo! JAPAN rank tracking |

How this page was made
- The verdict at the top follows a fixed rule. When both tools are in the same category and either is in our top three for it, the verdict follows that ranking: the higher-placed tool is our pick. The top three weigh who each tool suits as well as its grades, so a pick can go against the GPA. Otherwise the page does not pick one and says which grades higher: the higher GPA first; on a tie, the one with a free plan, then the one that starts cheaper in dollars a month, counted the same way for both; if they are still level, what the choice depends on.
- The grades are our own, from each tool’s review or report card. The GPA is their average.
- Prices, plans and platforms come from each tool’s listing. The table above says where each price was read and when.
- The differences and the answers to the questions are worked out from those listings.
