Value for money
CBasic is €14 a presenter a month, billed yearly. The middle of this category starts at about $10, so that's on the dear side. And your own branding, a shared workspace and co-editing all wait on Pro at €28.
BStandard is $7 a month billed annually, the cheap end of this category. But it mostly buys privacy settings and unlimited projects. PDF export, unlimited AI, the desktop app and offline access all start at Plus, $19 a month.
Free plan and trial
BFree for good, with Menti AI and 23 slide types. But it's capped at 50 participants a month, plus one session a month with no cap. Two classes of 30 and you're past it.
BBasic is free, with the full online editor and 500 AI credits a month. The catch is that presentations are public by default. Storage is limited too, and there's no PDF export.
Features
ALive polls, word clouds, Q&A, surveys and quizzes that add up to one final winner, plus an AI that drafts the whole thing. It's built around the audience and does that part fully. Importing PowerPoint, Keynote or PDF slides needs Basic.
AAI drafts from a prompt or an uploaded PowerPoint, PDF or Word file, the zoomable canvas, live polls, quizzes, Q&A and word clouds, and a link afterwards with a narrated video, transcript and flashcards. Prezi Video puts you on screen beside your content.
Ease of use
BThere's no App Store rating on record for it, so a B is as high as we go. It runs in a browser, and your audience joins with a link or a code without making an account.
BThere's no App Store rating on record for it, so a B is as high as we go. Your audience joins by scanning one QR code, with no app or account. The open canvas isn't slides in a row, so it'll feel different at first.
Platforms and integrations
BIt's a web app, with nothing of its own to install on a phone or laptop. It does plug into PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and into Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle and Brightspace for classes.
BIt runs in a browser and pulls in decks from PowerPoint, Google Slides and Canva, with Unsplash and Giphy for pictures. The desktop app and offline access only come with Plus and higher.

Key features

Mentimeter

Live polls and word clouds
Participants join with a link or code and answer from their own device, with no account needed, and the results appear on screen as responses come in.
Quizzes
Quiz questions run as a competition: results from every quiz question in a presentation add up to one final winner. Ready-made quiz templates are included.
Q&A
The audience submits questions during a session. On Pro the presenter can moderate incoming questions and manage them from a phone with Mentimote.
AI Menti Creator
Menti AI drafts a full interactive presentation, suggests questions and groups live responses so that trends are easier to spot. It is included in the Free plan.
Slide import and results export
From the Basic plan, existing PowerPoint, Keynote or PDF slides can be uploaded and mixed with interactive questions, and results can be downloaded as Excel or PDF.
Meeting and LMS integrations
Mentimeter works inside PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and in the Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle and Brightspace learning systems with optional gradebook sync.

Prezi

Prezi AI drafts
Describe the session in a sentence, or upload a PowerPoint, PDF or Word file, and Prezi AI drafts an outline and a designed presentation that stays fully editable.
Zoomable canvas
Presentations sit on an open, zoomable canvas, so a presenter can move around the material in whatever order the room needs rather than only stepping through slides.
Live polls, quizzes and Q&A
Polls, quizzes, Q&A and word clouds are planned in the deck and opened during the session. The audience joins by scanning one QR code, with no app or account, and can upvote questions.
After-session review
The shared link lets people revisit a session as a narrated video, podcast, transcript or the slides, and practice with flashcards and a self-test built from the material.
Results and feedback
Quiz and poll results appear question by question, alongside audience questions ranked by upvotes and an end-of-session digest of ratings and comments.
Prezi Video
Puts the presenter on screen next to the content in video calls and records presentations as video files that can be downloaded and shared.
