Part 01 · Overview
Welcome
What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first
2.0
GPA, above 0 of the 40 other automation tools we grade
2sync keeps Notion databases in sync with calendar, task, contact and spreadsheet apps. Each automation links one Notion database to one app, such as Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Todoist or Google Sheets, and carries changes in both directions on a schedule, with the direction set field by field. Gmail and Outlook email can also be saved into Notion, one way. Pricing is a flat rate by the number of active automations.
To get you started, here are 9 things to know about 2sync, taken from its own pages and our grades.
Not hard, but not a switch you flick either.
- 1
Best for keeping a Notion database and your calendar in step
2sync keeps a Notion database in step with Google Calendar, Todoist and a few other apps, both ways, for a flat price instead of a per-task bill, from $7 a month billed yearly.
- 2
Paid plans start at $7 a month
As its pricing page puts it: $7 / month, billed yearly ($9 billed monthly).
- 3
You can try it first
14-day free trial on every plan, with full access to all features
- 4
It runs on Web
Web.
- 5
Two-way sync with Notion databases
An edit in Notion or in the connected app is carried to the other side on the next run, within minutes. Conflict handling applies when both sides change at the same time.
- 6
Per-field mapping and direction
Any Notion property can be mapped to a field in the other app, and each field syncs two-way, one-way to Notion or one-way to the app. Filters decide which items sync.
- 7
Calendars, tasks, contacts and sheets
Two-way integrations cover Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Google Contacts, Outlook Contacts and a Google Sheets tab.
- 8
A 2.0 GPA, above 0 of 40
That is against the other automation tools we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.
- 9
Keep it
To replace 2sync you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

The report card
Best for keeping a Notion database and your calendar in step
2sync keeps a Notion database in step with Google Calendar, Todoist and a few other apps, both ways, for a flat price instead of a per-task bill, from $7 a month billed yearly. Notion has to be one side of every sync, Solo allows one automation and 3,000 items, and email only syncs into Notion. There's no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and syncs stop when you stop paying.
| Subject | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Value for money | B | Solo is $7 a month billed yearly, under half what this category usually starts at, and it's a flat price rather than a bill per task. That's for one automation, though. Three costs $14, and ten costs $49, which is the dear tenth of this category. |
| Free plan and trial | C | No free plan at all. Every plan opens with a 14-day trial with everything turned on, and when the subscription stops, so do your syncs. Fine for finding out whether it works for you, no use as a permanent arrangement. |
| Features | D | One job, and it needs another product to do it: Notion has to be one side of every automation. Within that it has per-field direction, filters, conflict handling, logs and alerts. But email only syncs one way, into Notion, and nothing here happens without a Notion database. |
| Ease of use | C | No store rating on record, and setting up a sync is real work: connect both accounts, then map each Notion property to a field and choose which way it travels. Not hard, but not a switch you flick either. |
| Platforms and integrations | C | A web dashboard and nothing else, with no app and no API on the listing. The connector list is short too: Notion on one side, and Google or Outlook calendar, Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, contacts or a Sheets tab on the other. |
An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.
Who 2sync is for
- Fits if you plan in a Notion database but your meetings sit in Google or Outlook Calendar
- Works for people who'd rather pay a flat price per sync than count tasks
Who it is not for
- Skip it if Notion isn't one side of the sync, because it always has to be
- Not for you if you want a free plan, as it's a 14-day trial and syncs stop when the subscription ends
- Tight if you need more than one sync, since Solo allows 1, Premium 3 and Pro, at $49 a month, 10
- Tight if you're on Solo, which caps you at 3,000 synced items, a 6-month window and a sync every 5 minutes
- Watch out: email only syncs one way, into Notion, and there's no phone app or API on record
Good to know
Good for
- Notion users who plan in a database but keep a Google or Outlook calendar
- Mirroring Todoist, Google Tasks or Microsoft To Do tasks in Notion
- People who prefer a flat price per automation to per-task billing
Worth knowing
- There is no free plan: every plan starts with a 14-day trial, and syncs stop running if the subscription is canceled.
- Notion is always one side of a sync. Each automation links one Notion database to one app, and plans allow 1, 3 or 10 of them.
- Solo is limited to 3,000 synced items, a 6-month sync window and a 5-minute sync frequency.
- Changes move on the next scheduled run, every 2 to 5 minutes depending on plan, and email syncs only into Notion.

Keep it, or make your own?
Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.
Keep it
To replace 2sync you would be making connections to other products, each kept working as those products change. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.
That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 35 of the 40 other automation tools grade higher. It costs $84 a year.
What you could not
- Connections to other products, each kept working as those products change.
- A builder that other people can use without writing code.
What this rests on. 2sync’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
