Best for agencies writing for several client brands

Cuppa writes articles, landing pages, social posts and newsletters in each brand's voice, grades them against the ranking pages and publishes to six CMSs. But Solo is $99 a month on yearly billing, and you pay OpenAI, Anthropic or another AI provider on top. Payments aren't refundable once the 7-day trial ends.

Who Cuppa is for

  • Fits if you run an agency producing content for several client brands from one account
  • Makes sense if you already pay for OpenAI or Anthropic API usage

Who Cuppa is not for

  • Pricey if you're one person, at $99 a month plus whatever your AI provider charges
  • Watch out: payments aren't refundable once the 7-day trial ends
  • Tight if you run more than one brand, as Solo covers one and each extra costs $100 to $150 a month, depending on the plan
  • Watch out: some listed features are marked as still in development
  • Pricey if you want backlinks, as managed outreach is an add-on at $199 per link a month

Why Cuppa gets a 2.0

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • DValue for moneySolo is $99 a month billed yearly ($119 monthly), where this category's dearest tenth starts, for one brand and one seat. And that's before AI costs, since every plan runs on your own API keys, billed by the provider.
  • CFree plan and trialNo free plan, but a 7-day free trial on every plan with no card. Payments aren't refundable once it ends.
  • CFeaturesBrand DNA, bulk and programmatic writing, SERP research with a Content Grader, clusters and automatic links, CMS and social publishing, images and video. It needs your own AI keys to write anything, and some listed features are marked as still in development.
  • CEase of useNo rating on record. You need API keys from an AI provider before it writes anything, then brands, voices and CMSs to set up.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb, publishing to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Sanity and Contentful, with Search Console and Canva, and a REST API and webhooks from Studio. No desktop or phone app.

Keep Cuppa, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace Cuppa you would be making an image model, which you can rent by the picture but not make. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

That makes this kind of software worth paying for, not this one in particular: 53 of the 87 other SEO content tools grade higher. It costs $1,188 a year.

What you could make

  • Long-form writing and internal linking: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • An image model, which you can rent by the picture but not make.
  • A score built from what the top results for each keyword cover.
  • It plugs into other products, WordPress, Webflow and Shopify among them, and has an API.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.

What this rests on. Cuppa’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.

What is Cuppa?

Cuppa is a web-based AI content platform aimed at agencies and marketing teams that run several brands. It studies the pages that rank for a keyword, writes articles, landing pages, social posts and newsletters in each brand's voice, and publishes them to common CMSs. It runs on the customer's own AI API keys instead of selling credits.

Worth knowing

  • Every plan needs your own API keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI or DeepSeek; AI usage is billed by those providers on top of the plan.
  • The FAQ says payments are not refundable once the 7-day trial ends.
  • Solo covers one brand and one seat; extra brands cost $150, $125 or $100 a month each depending on the plan.
  • Managed backlink outreach is an add-on at $199 per link per month, and some listed features are marked as still in development.
