Why theStacc gets a 2.2

Five grades, each with its reason. The GPA is their average: an A is 4 points, an F is none.

  • CValue for moneyLocal SEO or Social are $41 a month on yearly billing ($49 monthly), but Blog SEO, 30 articles a month, is $82 yearly or $99 monthly. That's just under where this category's dearer quarter starts ($83). Managed plans run from $625 to $1,299 a month.
  • DFree plan and trialNo free plan. The software modules have a 3-day free trial, shorter than a week, and the terms describe it as covering the first month instead. Monthly software plans aren't refundable.
  • BFeaturesKeywords picked from Search Console, drafts in your brand voice, scheduled publishing, a 0 to 100 draft score and a site auditor that checks AI crawler access, plus Google profile posts and review replies. Nothing in the listing shows a gap in the content job itself.
  • CEase of useNo rating on record. You connect Search Console, your CMS and your Google Business Profile, set up a project per location or client, and choose modules before anything runs.
  • BPlatforms and integrationsWeb only, with no desktop or phone app. It publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Shopify (beta) and Zepio or through a webhook, and links to Google Business Profile, Search Console and Analytics.

Keep theStacc, or make your own?

Keep it

To replace theStacc you would be making listings sent to dozens of directories and map apps, which takes an agreement with each. That is not a weekend's work, with an AI app builder or without one.

It costs $492 a year.

What you could make

  • Long-form writing: an app builder makes this well.

What you could not

  • Listings sent to dozens of directories and map apps, which takes an agreement with each.
  • A crawler that checks every page of a site.
  • Daily checks of where your pages rank in search results.
  • It plugs into other products, WordPress, Webflow and Ghost among them, and has an API.
  • AI features, unless you pay a model provider for each request yourself.
  • The depth: we grade its features B, which means it covers the whole job.

What this rests on. theStacc’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.

What is theStacc?

theStacc is a marketing platform for local and multi-location businesses, sold as separate modules. Blog SEO plans and writes 30 to 80 articles a month and publishes them to the site, Local SEO posts to a Google Business Profile and drafts review replies, and Social Media schedules posts on four networks. Each channel can run with approval first or on autopilot, and managed plans add a strategist who runs the work.

Worth knowing

  • Each module is priced separately; the page says to confirm any bundle price in your account before buying.
  • Monthly software plans are not refundable; first-time annual plans have a 14-day money-back guarantee.
  • Growth Complete has a three-month minimum on monthly billing, so the smallest commitment is $3,897.
  • The terms describe the trial as covering the first month, while the site advertises a 3-day free trial.
