Part 01 · Overview

Welcome

What it is, who it suits, its grades and the ten things to know first

2.4

GPA, above 17 of the 69 other daily planner apps we grade

Ebbi is a phone app that turns a list of tasks and time estimates into a timed plan for the day, with named breaks between blocks of work. A focus session then runs one task at a time with a countdown, optional soundscapes and a finish time that recalculates when a task runs over. It is made for adults with ADHD, has no streaks or overdue labels, and keeps its data on the device.

To get you started, here are 9 things to know about Ebbi, taken from its own pages and our grades.

No store rating on record for it, but there's nothing to set up: type or paste a list with time estimates and it lays out the day.
From our grade for ease of use
  1. 1

Best for a timed day plan with breaks, for ADHD

Ebbi takes your tasks and your guesses at how long they'll take, and turns them into a timed plan with named breaks in between, then runs them one at a time and moves your finish time when something overruns.

  2. 2

Paid plans start at $4 a month when paid by the year

As its pricing page puts it: $47.99 per year (about $4 per month), or $7.99 billed monthly.

  3. 3

    There is a free plan

5 tasks per session, 2 focus sessions per day, 3 soundscapes (silence, white noise and lo-fi), 7 days of session history and stats for today only.

  4. 4

    It runs on 2 platforms

    iOS and Android.

  5. 5

Day plan from tasks and estimates

Type tasks with time estimates, or paste a whole list, and Ebbi lays them out in order with a start time on each task and a finish time for the whole plan.

  6. 6

    Auto-split tasks and labeled breaks

Tasks of 25 minutes or more are split into shorter blocks with short resets between them. Resets can be named, such as a walk or the laundry, and the number of blocks changed.

  7. 7

    Live finish time

During a session the projected finish time updates as minutes are added or removed or the timer is paused, and the rest of the schedule recalculates.

  8. 8

    A 2.4 GPA, above 17 of 69

That is against the other daily planner apps we grade, on value, the free plan, features, ease of use and platforms.

The report card

Best for a timed day plan with breaks, for ADHD

Ebbi takes your tasks and your guesses at how long they'll take, and turns them into a timed plan with named breaks in between, then runs them one at a time and moves your finish time when something overruns. It's made for adults with ADHD. But it's phones only, it doesn't sync with your calendar or other task apps, and free stops at 2 focus sessions a day.

ToolGPA report cardEbbiGraded Oct 10, 2026
SubjectGradeComment
Value for moneyBPro is $47.99 a year, which is $4 a month against the $5.99 that sits in the middle of this category, so it's in the cheaper quarter. Paying monthly is $7.99, so the year is the one to pick. Those are US prices.
Free plan and trialCFree gives you 5 tasks a session, 2 focus sessions a day, 3 of the 13 soundscapes, 7 days of history and stats for today only. Two sessions go fast, so you'll meet those caps in a working day. The Pro trial is 14 days through the stores.
FeaturesCIt does its one job completely: a timed day plan from your tasks and estimates, long tasks split into blocks with breaks you can name, a finish time that moves as you go, and estimate accuracy over time. But that is a smaller job than most planners here take on. No calendar sync, no links to other task apps.
Ease of useBNo store rating on record for it, but there's nothing to set up: type or paste a list with time estimates and it lays out the day. It works with no internet connection, and on Apple devices it syncs through your own iCloud.
Platforms and integrationsCiPhone and Android only, with no web or desktop version. iCloud is the only thing on its integrations list, and the site describes no calendar sync at all.
Grade point averageFair, out of 4.02.4

An A is worth 4 points, a B 3, a C 2, a D 1 and an F nothing. The GPA is the average of the five.

Who Ebbi is for

  • Skip it if you plan at a computer, as there's no web or desktop version
  • Not for you if your day runs on a calendar, since the site describes no calendar sync
  • Watch out: the widget, scheduled sessions, weekly stats and 10 of the 13 soundscapes need Pro
  • Pricey if you pay monthly, at $7.99 against $47.99 for the year

Good to know

Good for

  • Adults with ADHD who want a day plan and a focus timer in one app
  • People who misjudge how long tasks will take

Keep it, or make your own?

Whether this is something you could build for yourself with an AI app builder, and what you would give up.

Your call

A daily planner at its plainest is today's tasks laid along a timeline.

You could make the core of Ebbi for yourself: tasks, time blocking and templates. What you would give up is listed below. Whether that is worth the price is your call. It costs $47.99 a year.

What you could make

  • Tasks, time blocking and templates: an app builder makes these well.

What you could not

  • A library of sound you would have to license.
  • A real app for iOS and Android. Something home-made would be a web page.

What this rests on. Ebbi’s listing: what it does, where it runs, what it plugs into and what it costs. It is a judgement about the kind of software this is. We have not built a replacement for it, and making your own means looking after it too. How we decide, and every tool’s verdict.
